They simply do not care about anyone- told me I would get a call from MY gp at 1:30 latest. Harassed me via voicemail and pawned me off to another doctor who deigned on sufferance to lazily contact me at half three, and who knew nothing and cared nothing about me or my case. I am at my wit's end and they do not care the slightest bit.

Having read some of the reviews listed here with regards to the Fountain Medical Centre, I think a lot more people should reflect on what they expect to get from an under staffed, underfunded Surgery. Having used the Surgery for over 25 years, I have relied on the service they provide, which is free to everyone. I also agree that on occasion the call takers are a little lacking in the niceties of a phone call, but they are shouted at, abused and generally much maligned, so how much of this would you take on a daily basis, before beginning to get disillusioned. I did a job like that for 30 years and was glad to finish, because often the expectations of the callers are unrealistic to say the least. I have no connection with this clinic other than it is a service I do not wish to lose, and if you keep running the staff down, you will lose it, and there is nothing else in the area any better, unless you start paying for it, and if we follow this route, there really be something to moan about. So when you have been on hold waiting for an answer, as frustrating as it is, try being pleasant in the first instance. The practice as a whole are caring, professional who will do their best for you given half a chance, so give them a chance.

Absolutely the most professional caring and supportive practice - Dr Folman and his team, especially Catherine have gone over and above to guide me through getting my mums needs assessed during a difficult time - I couldn’t have done it without them and will always be very grateful.

I called a few times but couldn't get through right away. However that is standard practice for most doctors surgeries this day and age. Once I did get through the receptionist was friendly and direct. They have a job to do, and they have questions to ask, forms to fill. They have to be prompt or else queues form. The doctor called me back 40 minutes later and she was friendly and listened. I think other reviews on here expect doctors and receptionists to be your best friend. Unfortunately that isn't the case, it's no ones fault. But the world doesn't revolve around you. They deal with a lot of people day in, day out. I had a really pleasant experience with them, and it's because I went into this with the knowledge they need to treat people swiftly. Try not being so up tight.

This surgery is a joke. Receptionist think they are medically Trained. My wife couldn't get to see a doctor when she was having irregular heart beat only a telephone conversation. By the time she had got the phone call over a week down the line she had already been admitted to hospital. They have been contacted by the hospital and yet they still can not contact her . If anything happens to my wife I make sure this surgery is closed once and for all. They still keep using covid as a excuse haven't they realized we moved on to Monkeypox. I had covid and they said I didn't have the symptoms. I am still suffering the affects of covid but have had to go Private. Not everyone has this option. Dr Wickes Also has a attitude and doesn't like being told the his receptionist and not medically Trained and should not be making decisions of who can and cannot see a doctor. I am now taking it up with the medical council.

It’s rare I need to see a Dr but can honestly say I have always managed to get an appointment when needed. Generally takes a while to get through on the phone but that’s the same at all practices.

Horrendous, no patient care, treated as if you are a nuisance and that's if you can get through. Their "patient care navigator' left me a voicemail message asking me to give them a call back....they've obviously never tried calling themselves! It was also suggested that I take my own blood pressure rather than visiting the surgery and when I said I had no way of doing that I was told that the monitors are quite cheap to buy! Disgraceful! I have now switched surgeries.
