Me and my partner have recently been approved as foster carers. An incredibly exciting time in our lives. The assessment process took around five months to complete from the first visit and it was a relaxed and straight forward process. Foster4Leeds have already shown us so much support and guidance and we feel confident that when a child is placed with us that level of support will grow. Due to the training and reading materials we have received we feel fully prepared for what it means to be a foster carer and cant wait to get started. Would fully recommend Foster4Leeds

I have been fostering since 2013 and was a supported lodgings provider before that. Primarily caring for older children and teenagers I can't say it has been easy, as a carer you can be faced with many challenges, but the difference you make to a young persons life can be immense. If considering fostering I would definitely recommend doing so with a local authority such as Leeds City Council.

I am a Foster of 15 years & would strongly recommend anybody who's thinking of Fostering to get in touch. In these terrible times more children than ever have come into the care system & our country needs YOU! Leeds City Council will help you all the way to achieve this. It's a very rewarding job.

We qualified to be foster carers this year and we love it. We like that we are making a difference and to see our young person blossoming before our eyes just is an amazing feeling. This is not just a rewarding career it is rewarding seeing a child in a happy place. We initially applied through an Agency but changed our minds to go through our local authority which we recommend

Just recently qualified with my husband to become Foster parents. Understandably the process took a few months. It was very casual in our home for chats about us, what we wanted and what to expect. Believe me I asked so many questions and every one was answered without me feeling stupid. We did a weekend of training which again you were able to really ask questions and get a good understanding of what you would be committing to. We have recently taken in our first Foster child, and we are really enjoying getting to know him. He has settled so well in our family and it's lovely to know we are part of the reason he is smiling so much. Don't get me wrong, there are challenges but nothing we can't handle. I feel we had a great start due to the training, and our weekly assessments, where we were given so much advice, help and contacts to support us. We know whenever we need it someone is there to help and guide us should we need it. I totally recommend Foster 4 Leeds
