  It has been an absolute blessing and pleasure to have Fossil Food cater for our wedding. Kirsty & Steve have gone above and beyond any expectations from the get go. They created our dream wedding meal, providing excellent recommendations that were enjoyed by everyone on the day. We’ve received countless compliments on the food including, “best burger I’ve ever had”, “best fries I’ve ever had” “best corn I’ve ever had”, “best halloumi bites I’ve ever had”, honesty the list goes on! Also a huge thank you so much for ensuring the day went smoothly, helping with co-ordination, tables ect and not panicking with any delays. Will miss our check ins! Love Mr & Mrs Blackwood

  What can I say. Firstly an ENORMOUS thank you to Kirsty, Steve and their simply wonderful (in every way) team. They recently looked after us catering for our 10 year wedding anniversary in Dorset. The produce, the food, the team, the service, the attention to detail, the execution of a complicated event and the genuine fun and enjoyment they brought to a weekend was spectacular. We were blown away, along with our guests who all cannot speak highly enough about this. A hog roast with a hand reared pig - especially for us since the start of the year was done beautifully. So much crackling and so much delicious leftovers! And the main event, fruits de mer coupled with one of the most fantastic roast beef platters I have ever had - how on earth they did this for 100 people will always be beyond me. It was delightful - the seafood fresh and cooked brilliantly. The beef perfectly done with all the sides was unbelievable. This is before we even talk about how good the canapes were - along with fresh oysters, the likes of which I have never tasted before. Judging by the fact that we ran out of those very quickly tells you just how brilliant everything was - even the oyster-sceptics were sold! We can't thank Kirsty, Steve and Fossil Foods team enough. This was a genuinely spectacular occasion and we feel very lucky to have come across them. We will be using them again in future and we cannot wait. Thanks again guys, you are the best.

  When my daughter and now husband booked Fossil Food back in March 21, we really didn’t think we had anything to worry about. The food looked amazing and although over budget, being so personal and a bespoke menu it seemed perfect for them. They loved that everything was locally sourced and they were told they only do a few weddings a month, so it definitely made it very special. They attended a tasting session and between themselves, kirsty and Steve they chose the perfect menu, inspired by all the places that they had visited. I must admit I was quite surprised that 6 months before the wedding, they contacted them to say that due to inflation they had to rise the price. My daughter was worried that they would no longer be able to afford their dream caterer’s. But desperate to keep with them, they decided to drop the starters and just have canapés, mains and deserts. Kirsty and Steve were more than happy to do this. The wedding was now fast approaching and it soon became 6 weeks before and the final bill was due. They paid the bill on time and we’re now so excited for their wedding breakfast that they had so carefully planned. 5 weeks before, my daughter was on her way to work when she received a call from kirsty to say they could no longer cater for their wedding! They had lost a chef and had a three day covid cancellation the same weekend of their wedding. Admittedly they found them another caterer. Which did seem strange that they were still available so close to the wedding date. But they had no choice but to go with this other company. My daughter and husband had a mixture of emotions, upset, angry and very anxious. They felt that they had chosen a more profitable wedding over theirs. Not what they needed a few weeks before their special day. The new catering company looked like a relatively new company and in little time they had, did the best they could. Unfortunately it wasn’t the dream menu that they had excitingly planned over 12 months before and they were disappointed. However they didn’t want it to spoil there very special day. If your looking to book Fossil Food, go ahead but please be aware they can pull out at anytime if they find someone else to do the job! Very disappointing!

  Fossil Food are truly amazing! Not only does the food they create taste absolutely divine but the help, kindness, attentiveness and support they provide from the start right up until the end of the wedding day is fantastic. The first thing one of our guests said to us as we arrived was that the canapés are delicious! Everyone still talks about the food and how the sharing boards worked so well. The standard they produced for over 100 guests is incredible! We were able to go to a taster day where we could sample and tweak our menu and we knew from then we had made a great decision! They even went the extra mile on the morning of the wedding and saved our cake from collapsing! Thank you so much Kirsty and Steve - you smashed it!! L and T x

  We are finally coming down to earth and wanted to send you an email to say Thank You to you and all of your team. You were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make our day exactly how we wanted. You came with no preconceptions about how things “should” happen. Instead, you worked to understand our vibe and committed to work with us. The end product was something magnificent which had outstanding comments from everyone at the wedding. We are still enjoying the leftover Dorset apple cake! Working with you was an absolute delight and your team were all incredible. We loved having a little boogie with you at the end as well.

  We booked for our wedding on 21 May 2022. Easy to deal with throughout. They totally adopted our dream menu (and nailed it!). We asked for moules frites, and a speciality cheesecake that is served at our favourite restaurant. They delivered spectacularly. On the day, very attentive. Quick service. No glass left dry for even a second. Everything went smoothly. Canapés were excellent, too! Hoping to have a reason to use Fossil Foods again in the future. Highly recommend them!

  When we first spoke to Fossil, the only note I made was 'She's so lovely!' From day one, these guys have been amazing...let alone everything they have done for us through the pandemic! They were a rock for us with all our date changes, reducing guest numbers, menu planning and all our last minute changes/planning...even though they were the ones navigating through the uncertainty of covid and their business! They were always at the end of the phone, even the night before when we were stressing about the forecasted thunder storm, they were there. They made our day so special and how the sun shone for us all! Nothing was too much trouble at all for them at any point. Their food was everything we could have dreamed of and more! Every guest has commented about how delicious it was! Perfect and delicious food served by a perfect and wonderful team! We really appreciated the added touch of Kirsty finding us during our photos with a tray of wonderful canapes, to ensure we weren't missing out! Such a blessing to count these guys as friends and we can't wait to catch up over coffee again! Thank you so much Kirsty, Steve and all the team! If you are looking for caterers in the South West, we highly recommend Fossil Food...and we know all our guests will agree!

  Fossil Food are without a doubt THE best catering service. We completely struck gold when we had Fossil Food with us on our wedding day. Kirsty and Steve are marvellous. They really go the extra mile to help you with your day. We had a turbulent journey postponing and delaying our wedding day due to the pandemic, but Kirsty and Steve were always so delightful, supportive, and attentive to our queries and needs. They were always there to support us throughout the journey, and we couldn't have done it without them. They really are more than just a catering business. Kirsty was regularly checking up on us throughout the day, and was always there to support us. It was always such a delight speaking to them - they are so kind and thoughtful. The food on the day was absolutely amazing - every one of our guests came up to us complimenting the canapes and meal. It was completely exceptional. We can't thank you enough for all your help and for being such wonderful people. Thank you so much xxxx

  Where do we start! If only possible to give 6/5 stars! When looking for caterers for our wedding, we wanted to find a company who love and appreciate food as much as we do - and who understood that it was a very important part of our story and day. We had no idea we'd find all that and more. Kirsty and Steve worked with us from the start, asking us questions about ourselves, how we met/were engaged - all tying into a menu that was very personalised to us as well as the time of year (not an easy task as our wedding date switched x3 over the pandemic). On the day, they went above and beyond adding in special touches that we hadn't expected - with warmth and humour. We had a couple unexpected issues during the day that set back our timings which they handled on the fly and without any impact to our guests. When asking our friends and family about the best parts of the wedding - the dinner (and miso potatoes) - stole the show. We're so so grateful and over the moon that we chose fossil food for our wedding breakfast and look forward to now trading restaurant recommendations and dishes with Kirsty and Steve for years to come!

  By far the best wedding food ever! We had Fossil as caterers for our wedding and both the food and the service couldn't have been better really. The menu they came up with for us was spot on and the execution was next level. All our friends and family keep mentioning it every time the wedding comes up. Both Kirsty and Steve are so lovely and very helpful through the whole process of planning the food and the day. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for caterers for their wedding.
