There's no doubt that the meat here is excellent quality. However, during a cost of living crisis, will people really choose this over over cheaper supermarket options? I really wish these guys all the best and look forward to coming back. Let's all support local businesses ❤️.

I wanted to try organic local produce 6 months ago and have been hooked ever since. Supermarket meat is flavourless in comparison. This is a great local business and has my full support

Fantastic quality meat that's worth every penny. The sirloin steaks were delicious; lovely thick pork chops with kidney attached which you don't often get; dry cure thick cut bacon, all highly recommended. Looking forward to going again.

We’ve given one star based on our shopping experience yesterday. We had been at Manchester Hospital for for most of the day as my husband is undergoing treatment and so still at risk of infection. When we arrived at the shop I asked if I could use our own shopping bags - the younger man said no we prefer you to use our wicker baskets ( there was no wipes ) he said they were cleaned daily…… We went to get our Christmas meat to cheer my husband up… we filled our basket with lots of meat and then asked if we could take some meat paper bags as the clingfilm had split on the sausage packaging… you’d think I’d asked for free sausages by the woman’s reaction - she said can’t you use freezer bags when you get home! We then asked for a joint of lamb which she picked up with her bare hands - she then went on to serve us at the till including touching the bread…. We were there literally 10mins we couldn’t wait to get out as we felt we were getting watched - it was so uncomfortable. I wished we hadn’t carried on with our £100 purchases - we felt so miserable after being there. Staff need customer service training and hygiene training! We won’t be back…. The owner did respond and apologised for the poor customer service. We had the beef and sausages for part of our Christmas feast… sadly, disappointed with quality of both. The sausages at one time were amazing.

As a measure of how much I love their minced beef and stewing steak; yesterday I was not going to be deterred, despite having been hit by a lorry on the East Lancs Road from Manchester, on my way there! I rarely buy the supermarket stuff anymore, having tasted their beef. I'm nearly 60 yo and it's honestly the best I've ever tasted. And the friendly staff is a bonus.
