Buying solar panel can be fraught experience. I started researching the market in June 2022 and approached over 15 companies to discuss my needs. For Evergreen Energy were by far and away the most professional. They genuinely approached the project from the perspective of what was right for my needs. It’s a soft sell because they sell on the science and benefits. The initial presentation was outstanding and covered every aspect of what I needed to know. In a market where there many rouge companies they provided the confidence I needed to proceed with one of the most reputable companies in solar generation. The fitters who installed my system were extremely professional. I’m not one for writing reviews on companies but I would have no hesitation in recommending For Ever Green.

6 Pottows Field, Cherhill, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 8YN, GB Absolutely useless from the start. Quoted 11 panels but only 10 would fit. Scaffolding left for months. Iboost installed incorrectly. One panel failed but no attempt to resolve. Had to raise a case with NAPIT to get a site visit. Took 18 months to replace a faulty panel. Avoid.

Back in March 2022, I was unsure about Solar so I called up Forever Green and had a very useful conversation with a chap called Rob. He was excellent at dealing with all my questions. After a little wait, I placed the order in April and told to expect fitting to occur on 1st September (19 week wait). The wait was fair enough as there are global supply chain issues at the moment. In early July, one of the team came out to the house to measure up and check where everything was going. I was advised it was going to be a text-book simple install. On the 20th July, I was told that there was a delay due to a shortage of kit. New date, 19th September (21 week wait). This later turned out to be the date for the new public holiday for the Queen's funeral. All credit to Forever Green, this only moved the fitting date back by 1 week (22 week wait). We were advised that the scaffolding company would let us know before they came to fit it. Given that we hadn't heard anything at lunchtime Sunday, the day before the panels were due to be fitted we assumed they weren't coming, but (without any phonecall) on Sunday afternoon they appeared and up it went. On the day of delivery, the installation team were great and very professional. Can't speak highly enough about them. They couldn't fit 2 of the panels because there was a problem with the corner of the roof. They also didn't have a 'dongle' which meant they couldn't commission the battery. Apparently it was due in at the end of the week. Given that it would arrive soon, I was asked if I could send payment which I did. I should have really waited until installation was complete. The dongle was fitted 2 weeks after installation in the end and scaffolding removed later that week. So, initial order to final commission of system was 24 weeks. If the review were based purely on the technical team (fitting, phone support etc) it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately this is let down by an inventory system that has not been updated to work with the current global lead times. Edit 2 - For some bizarre reason Forever Green don't give the options to put a bird cage around the panels. It's highly likely that you'll get pigeons nesting under the panels if you don't get this. If you retrospectively fit the netting, it's around £1k with more scaffolding required.
