(Translated by Google) Great hotel to stay. Especially very friendly staff. We felt very welcome. Downside was that you have little space left with children in the room. However, the children can enjoy swimming in the pool. The breakfast was very extensive. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. We rented bikes nearby and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. (Original) Prima hotel om te verblijven. Vooral erg vriendelijk personeel. We voelden ons erg welkom. Minpuntje was dat je met kinderen op de kamer, weinig ruimte overhoudt. Wel hebben de kinderen heerlijk kunnen zwemmen in het zwembad. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Er zijn verschillende leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand. Wij in de buurt fietsen gehuurd en genoten van de prachtige omgeving.

The staff were the nicest hotel staff I have ever experienced - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast both mornings, and dinner one night. The food is standard for this type of hotel, perfectly fine, but the staff made it a really lovely experience each time. We stayed with our two children and the hotel is very family friendly, with bunk beds in a slightly separate area of the bedroom for the children. There is a children's menu in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The location is good, in walking distance of Lyndhurst and is central to a lot of attractions in the New Forest. What let the hotel down for me was the room, which is such a shame. Our room was really tired, and I am not convinced it was cleaned properly before us as there was a lot of dust and fluff. The bathroom in particular needed a total refit. I didn't mention this to hotel staff at the time because we only wanted the hotel as a base for two nights and it wasn't worth clouding the break over, so in the hotel's defence I did not give them the chance to rectify anything at the time. But in honesty I am not sure what they could have done. Overall I wouldn't stay again because I don't feel that the room was worth what we paid but that is no reflection of the service we received, as it really was excellent. We had a lovely little break overall, thank you
