Rooms: The cabins are beautiful, and they come with a hot tub with every cabin. Nearby activities: There is a zoo about half an hour drive up the road and great yarmouth an hours drive away. Safety: The whole area within the retreat is more than safe. Walkability: Myself and my partner had some amazing walks within the boundaries of thorpe forest sometimes we were out for hours just walking. Food & drinks: Food and drink was incredible and fresh, a bit pricey but I expect that for the type of place it is. Noteworthy details: All in all it was incredible and all the workers and owner should be very proud of themselves to be able to hold such an amazing stablishment, it just incredible.

We come here regularly for long weekends. It's just such a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. The cabins are luxurious and well maintained, and the hot tubs are terrific and managed daily. The woods offer plenty of diverse walks, which is great for us having a great big German Shepherd and there are plenty of other activities on offer, although we generally don't. Our kids are a bitnold for the Ranger led nature walks nowadays.

This was a last minute break for us as never been to a forest holiday location before . We were 15 minutes early to check and was told by the member of staff nope you have to come back at 4 pm and stand there . It was like been a school child came back after we went shopping stood where we were told and the staff was like invisible to us . Cabin 47 golden oak was right near the reception area actually just across road but was made to drive the full length of estate to make a turn in the road . Cabin itself looked ok on first inspection the inside needed the mass of con webs taken done from around the windows . Outside the decking was absolutely covered in leaves twigs dirt . I know you’re in a forest but for some one arriving it clearly wasn’t swept as the outdoor brush was broken . You now have a fully functioning brush as I had to set on and clear the mess everywhere up . Looked for free log roll to lite fire nope not there . I when asked in the reception which took for ever the girl behind the counter to acknowledge me or her colleague in the shop I was told oh I don’t think we are doing it now why put it on your welcome pack then . Apart from the few things we did find we enjoyed our stay here peaceful and quiet and loads of wildlife .
