What a quiet peaceful retreat. Sat right on the edge of the forest this was a great place to sit and watch the birds and wildlife in tranquil settings. Basic in terms of no 'activities' (a few paid for ones) but loads to do locally. Horse riding, castles, walks, beaches, scenery 👌

We really enjoyed our holiday. We couldn't ask for anything more. Claire and the rest of the team were really helpful in anything that we needed. The cleanliness of the cabin was amazing. There was nothing to fault. We will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely week here with 2 young kids and our dog. It was lovely. Great facilities and a lovely peaceful, natural surroundings. It was fairly busy but still really quiet with lots of wildlife passing by our veranda while we enjoyed the hot tub. Lots to do in the area too, bempton cliffs, various great beaches walks and cycle routes. We hired bikes and rode to the nearby Keldy Cabins which were also lovely. The zip wire there is good fun. Really nice friendly staff and nice food and drink options at the Forest Retreat Reception. Thoroughly recommend.

Booked golden oak hideaway cabin. The outside area faces the woods. On the first night watched rabbits, squirrels and deer was just wonderful. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean and had everything you could wish for in it. Theres a lovely welcoming cafe/restaurant on site where the staff are ready nice and friendly. Lots of gluten free options available. The walks through the Forrest are superb, really relaxing. Would highly recommend if you want a get away from it all holiday. Its quite superb really.
