    I went in for a colour test for my Dyslexic 8 year old daughter, we experienced friendly, professional, helpful service and my daughter was made to feel very comfortable. We purchased a pair of specialised lenses and experienced the same great surface when we when to collect them. Great care was taken to ensure that the fitting and prescription would achieve a significant difference in her processing ability. Very impressed and will recommend.

    I have been using Forbes as my opticians for many years. Mainly to supply my disposable contact lenses. I use their eyecare subscription which entitles me to regular checkups and eye tests. I'm a bit of a Batman fan and sourced unique hand-painted frames which Forbes were able to fit prescription lenses into. Their enthusiasm and professional approach was fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get away from the chain stores and appreciate individual customer service.

    I came to Forbes as I was suffering from crippling migraines and my neurologist suggested an eye test. After some thorough testing with various machines, and a standard eye test, the optician prescribed me a lens package. After purchasing the glasses I realised sometime after that glasses weren't for me, and other neurological problems were the root cause, but I had passed the 21 days returns window so I kept the glasses. During a much later conversation with Forbes, I was told that if I wasn't happy with the glasses I could of course return them. As I wasn't getting a huge benefit from them, I agreed to return them and did so, even though this was some months later. I was quite surprised that the optician I saw wasn't at all off-hand with me because I was returning the glasses, but in fact showed real concern that my migraines were still a problem and that the prescription wasn't helping as much as they were hoping. Usually customer service stops when you've left a shop, but Forbes remembered my name and my condition and recognised me when I came through the door. Although I didn't get the benefit from glasses I was hoping for, and was genuinely disappointed that my migraines showed no improvement, I can give no negative feedback for Forbes on account of their excellent customer support. Other than an initial misunderstanding of how my glasses could help my condition, and how long I could keep the glasses for before committing to them, they actually showed a lot of professionalism and understanding, which is all you can ask for really. Any lesser high street optician would most certainly have not offered a refund over that timescale and I am grateful for this. And Forbes do sell top quality glasses, there's no question about that. For people who wear glasses a lot, who want quality frames, I would recommend them.

The phone is answered quickly, (no menu to go through), the staff are thorough, professional and polite and provide a welcoming, calm approach. Both my husband and I have attended Forbes for more years than I can remember and feel fortunate to have found them. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, who is seeking ‘top drawer’, advice, eyecare, overall service, and a choice of spectacles from traditional to top label. This is an Opticians, who go ‘the extra mile’ and value their customers.

    Forbes Eye care in Chichester have been wonderful at getting my glasses repaired a number of times over the years: most recently last week when one of the hinges broke.I took them in on Monday and they were back in perfect order by Friday. My reserve glasses were then adjusted free of charge. A great service and never been turned away. Other opticians have said "It cannot be done". Well it can by Forbes EyeCare in Chichester
