I’ve been to a few Food at 52 classes and they never disappoint! The classes are well taught and, more importantly, for someone who isn’t a huge fan of cooking, highly entertaining! Jean Marc & Emily are great teachers - both patient and offer good tips to make replicating the experience at home easier. They made everyone feel so at ease. I would highly recommend. The food was absolutely delicious! 🤤😋

We had a wonderful afternoon at ‘Food at 52’ learning how to prepare Coronation Quiche and a simple but delicious butternut squash and lentil salad. It was great fun; expertly (and entertainingly) hosted by Jean-Marc and Emily who were excellent teachers. We learned a lot, particularly regarding how to (and how not to!) make shortcrust pastry, and lots of little tips were shared about a variety of cooking techniques and use of knives and other equipment. There was plenty of opportunity to get involved in a hands-on way and everything was explained and demonstrated very clearly. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming and the whole experience was really entertaining, informal and enjoyable. And to top it all off, the Coronation Quiche was much more tasty than we had anticipated and went very well with the salad! We have been before (to learn how to cook chicken sofrito on the Italian cooking course - which was also a great evening) and would highly recommend the experience. Many thanks again to Jean-Marc, Emily and the support team (who kindly did all the washing and clearing up) for a very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon.

It’s definitely worth it. I had the best time! I did the Italian cooking class from 11-4 and it went by so fast. Everything was amazing! The staff, the food, the atmosphere. Loved every minute of it and it is by far the best cooking class I have been to. Most cooking classes the portions at the end are very small but here I actually left feeling very full and that’s saying something… for me. You get to cook quite a lot of different dishes and styles of cooking which is great. The chef was very knowledgeable and entertaining and the two guys helping out in the back were super lovely and very quick and tidying up. I didn’t know drinks were included but that was a nice surprise - red, white and cucumber water available throughout the entire class. Couldn’t fault it - going back for the Vietnamese lessons next and I can’t wait!

It was a great experience! It was a birthday gift and I took the southern Indian cookery class! I learned very nice cooking tips, but most importantly, I had the best time with the rest of the people in the course, while cooking and eating the food we prepared! Very well organised! Definitely recommended and I will be back again to try one of the other classes!!
