I called into folklore 2 days into learning crochet for advice and a yarn that was easier for a beginner to work with. The warm welcome and excellent advice not only brightened my day but resulted in me managing to complete a granny square, my first project, that night. I didn't feel pressured, was shown a price range of yarns that was perfect for a beginner and given the time to ask questions. The shop is bright and spacious and the atmosphere, even when quiet feels warm and homely. I'll definitely be back to enjoy a coffee and scone and hopefully a class soon!

We stopped with our tour group and Sara plus some customers could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Some of us were knitters; some just wanted coffee and snacks. The yarn selection is outrageously wonderful with hand dyed selections that can only be purchased in Ireland; a great selection of needles and directions. It was a not to be missed stopped; nearly everyone bought project bags for either knitting or needlepoint as a memento it was such a special time. Yarn for socks, sweaters, shawls—plus, delicious scones, tea and coffee! A don’t miss stop!

A must for any knitters visiting Belfast. Everyone is super friendly and the yarns are gorgeous! There's a good mix of all weights; local, premium, hand dyed yarns; and the coffee shop is every knitters dream. Who doesn't love a proper piece of baked goodness surrounded by beautiful yarns?! I've traveled all over and this is a gem.
