The second time I've stayed here, and I've never had any issues. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They placed us on a floor with other younger couples (some with children), no disruptions during our stay. Walkability: It's a big hotel, so there can be a bit of walking to do.

Lots of bad reviews for this place and for Britannia Hotels in general which I think are a bit undeserved. It is only a 2 star hotel and given their prices it's ok value. It's not fancy, but they're not trying to fool anyone that it is. Clean comfortable rooms at a good price but it's certainly not luxury. Nearby activities: Folkestone has really been renovated during the last few years. The Harbour Arm with loads of street food stalls and microbreweries is great. The creative quarter in town is also great and there are lots of great restaurants and bars. Folkestone is on the up!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it,as well as staying again. Walkability: It's down the bottom of a hill. Excellent for getting the blood pumping especially when you're walking up it.
