Waited almost two hours for the surveyor Boris to arrive, only for him to give me false information about my floors. They do not know how to restore wooden floors so they just quote you for laminated flooring. They also say that you must paint your house and plaster walls before starting work which is again not true. Very overpriced.they quoted me £5,000 and yet I got the work done elsewhere for £1,450.

Extremely disappointing from start to end. - Disassembled the bed and table to clear the floor (which is fine) but then just chucked it in the adjacent room and did not assemble or put things back once done. I had to pay someone to assemble the furniture again. - Masking tape left around the whole flat after works were done - Masking tape used was the wrong type (as confirmed by my builders). Blue masking tape should have been used on fresh paint, so paint peeled off my skirting around the whole of the flat. This cost me another day with the painter. - I made a mistake and paid the invoice the second it arrived from the company. When I informed them on the above, the response was “This is unfortunate, but… sometimes this can happen and therefore we try and inform our clients in advance through the disclaimers on our quotes”… Future clients of the company take note, they will only focus on finishing their work with full disregard to your existing furniture, items, walls, etc, as they are protected by disclaimer / small print. My advice would be i) not to use them; ii) if you do decide to use them, not to pay the invoice until you’re fully satisfied with the result. Service: Wood floor restoration

The quality of the work is very good and we are pleased with the result in transforming dark and dull parquet flooring into beautiful natural wood so that every grain and natural mark can be seen and enjoyed. We have found that they are not the cheapest in the area and the lack of protecting the skirting boards (regardless of their own info book saying to the contra) has left more redecorating than we had hoped for. Floorworks were great to deal with throughout. They provided a free quote and sent an surveyor to check the condition of the floor ahead of agreeing a price. They were easy to contact throughout and it was clear that they were passionate about restoring wooden floors and were happy to answer all our questions. The work was completed quickly at short notice whilst we were away travelling, and they went out of their way to accommodate our demands. The age of the floor made it a more complex job, but the restored floor looks beautiful. I highly recommend Floorworks for any flooring projects you are considering.
