I hired a sander package for a weekend back in February 2022. The package was delivered on Saturday around 10am. The belt sander, although it was quite old (20+ years) and looked fairly dilapidated (the crumbling rubber wheels made it quite difficult to move the sander back and forth), it was doing a fine job until about 4pm on Saturday afternoon when it stopped working. I thought it would be fine after a short break, but I tried several times to switch it on later without success. I only finished half of the floor in one room. I called the company, but it was already closed that day. I sent an email explaining the situation on the same day as well. When I filled out the form on the collection day on Monday morning I also put a note about the faulty sander in the hope that someone will get back to me to arrange for replacement on a different day. I have called the company several times since February, each time explaining the story from the very beginning, giving them my contact information again and again, with the promise that they are going to speak to the manager/ supervisor who will get in touch with me. I must say that the people on the phone have always been very polite, and it seems that at least they are trying to be helpful. But with no success thus far. It's June 2022 now, and they still haven't resolved this issue. I am going to hire a sander from another company to finish the rest of the floor in that room. I still have other floors in the house that I want to sand, but obviously I am not going to use this company when I get around to sanding these in the future. If you are a company that hires out old machines that are being used by a number of less or more experienced DIYers, it may happen that the machine breaks down and you will be required to provide replacement to your client at no additional cost. Floor Sander Hire does not seem to understand this simple rule. I am very disappointed by their customer service and will hire elsewhere next time. I do not recommend using their services. Would give zero stars if I could.

Messy, inconsiderate, rude and ignorant. Hamid and his team had no respect for my home during the work, and proceeded to treat the house as a their storage for weeks. Rubbish, paint stains and leftover lunch was left around my house, while most attempts to feedback my concerns were ignored, or disputed, despite photo evidence. They also tried to charge me more money for materials they could not find within the time agreed. Hamid laughed in my face when disputing a quote, one of many examples of outrageously bad customer service. This is the first negative review I have ever left, and doing so to avoid others falling into the same trap. Service: Repair flooring

Phoned up early afternoon and the drum and edge sander were delivered at 8.45 the next morning. Friendly delivery driver insisted on carrying the heavier end of the drum sander. The woman that took the order was helpful. Reasonable hire prices, abrasives a tad more expensive than I had guesstimated but not unreasonable. Happy to recommend them
