My battery was flat when I went to start the car this morning. After getting a bump start I dropped in to Flomar on the way to work the off chance they could maybe help. They were so kind and efficient - got straight on the phone to the supplier, arranged to have one dropped off immediately, and fitted it for me - all in time for me to still get to work on time. And we had a lovely chat while I waited too. What a lovely, family-run business. I would highly highly recommend! Service: Battery

Disappointing experience. I politely asked if there was anybody available to quickly check a possible starter motor fault on a vehicle parked less than 30 seconds away. As it won’t start, it’s not possible for me to bring it to them and they wanted to charge me a recovery fee before even diagnosing the issue. Like I say, the vehicle is literally next door… This would have taken a mechanic no more than 5 minutes to walk up, turn it over and say yes (as well as they can) which I then would have asked them to go ahead with the recovery and work. The fact it was all about the recovery charge right off the bat it nothing less than shocking. EDIT (My Response): Firstly, nobody suggested or expected any member of staff to stay or work after hours. I was advised that you close at 5, which is fair enough, and enquired about another time in the week at which the receptionist went off to ask somebody and I was told it would need to be recovered. I fully appreciate you would charge a fee for recovery, had I enquired about such a service, but my initial enquiry was simply asking if you’d be kind enough to take 5 minutes out of your day to simply ‘sanity check’ my diagnosis of the problem, seeing as you could literally see the car from your car park - that’s how close it is. By your comments, I assume you would be happy for a builder to attend your property and charge you for their time, transport and the quotation of works? It’s no different than me asking for 5 minutes advice before I give you the go ahead. To reiterate, I never asked, expected or requested any free works, in or out of hours, and did not expect an immediate resolution either. This review is a legitimate review based on my dealings with you, regardless of whether you worked on a vehicle or not. I’ll pop an invoice through the door in the morning to cover my time and wear and tear on the phone for the 5 minutes it took to edit this review.

My car key fob stopped working so I could not lock the car - Flomar replaced the battery in the fob without charging - was a lovely surprise and very kind of them. Will definitely be using them again in the future for all my car servicing and repairs. Thanks Flomar! Unfortunately won't be using as called for a quote following MOT failure and they never bothered to call me back!!!

Tried to charge me £600 for a job that another garage quoted £230. After I said it was to expensive they called me back and said they’d found a cheaper part and could do it a lot cheaper. Avoid!
