Currently renting with flax, absolutely shocking service. They can’t get anything essential fixed straight away, they were going to leave me and my housemate days without a washing machine, even when I explained we both work full time and have limited uniform. I had informed them that my washing machine was rusting and leaking (a massive fire hazard) and they didn’t do anything, even when I offered to go half’s with the landlord for a new washer/dryer, that I ended up buying myself! I don’t even know how they got away with advertising our property as furnished, only 1 double bed, a single bed (when we were told 2 double rooms), 2 “desks” if you could even call them that and only 1 wardrobe for a 2 bed house! Not to mention the toenail clippings on the floor left by previous tenants after the “professional cleaning service” with no working vac to clean them (bought myself). No PAT tests done on any electrical appliance and dodgy electrical work (electrical wires near plumbing). Be prepared to sort everything yourself, have your own contractors and connections for repairs (I use my lovely ex landlords contacts) and be ready to shed out a load of cash to make your flax house a home! I can only hope that the service improves not just for me, but for everyone who is or thinking about going with this company!

Very helpful agency when it came to issues within the house, things generally got sorted within a day or two. We had no issues with getting our deposit back which can't be said about many other agencies and landlords I've heard about.

Can’t thank Michael and the team at Flax&co enough for our tenancy there. We stayed in their property as students for 2 years and it honestly made our uni experience. The house was freshly renovated and looked lovely, any issues were solved in good time, great ease of communication and all staff encountered were very polite and helpful. We would have stayed longer if we could, definitely recommend renting with them.
