I ordered 2 dozen mini cupcakes from here they looked great and fun in the picture but what I got looked nothing like what was advertised in the picture . I called customer services to advise of this and they were really not at all helpful and quite frankly not bothered and told me the box is based on what the baker selects that day . The box advertised looks bright and fun all we got were vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles along with really bad customer service . Really disappointing and false advertising . Definitely do not recommend.

We recently ordered a birthday cake from Flavourtown, and it was an absolute delight. Despite not visiting the shop in person, the cake arrived in impeccable condition, beautifully decorated, and incredibly delicious. The cake itself surpassed our expectations and made the birthday celebration extra special. Highly recommend!

Amazing service and the cupcakes definitely delivered with taste and presentation. We got a mix box with Oreos, Red Velvet and others and this was definitely one of the best Red Velvet cupcakes I have ever had, would recommend this for anyone looking to gift somebody cupcakes.

Ordered a birthday cake and they delivered it in a box way too big for the 6" cake ordered. Suffice it to say, the cake didn't make the journey home. Very disappointing to spend £63 and have it topple into a hot mess b/c they ran out of smaller boxes.

An incredibly stressful experience… I placed an order for a 10” unicorn rainbow cake and 36 cupcakes for a 4 years old’s birthday party. On the morning of the party, we were due to collect the cakes at 10am so they were in place for the 10:30am start. At 7:46am, we received an email saying that there had been a power cut at the factory overnight so the cakes would not be ready but would be delivered to the Fulham Store as soon as possible. The customer support team were not open until 10am but I requested a call back ASAP. I spoke to the Head of Customer Services to explain that we needed the cakes for 10:30am, and she said she would liaise with the driver. I received no update and after chasing several times, I was eventually informed that the driver was on his way and the cakes would be dropped off directly to the party venue by 11:30am. Initially this was a relief and meant we didn’t have to find a last-minute alternative. However, 11:30am came and went with no sign of the cakes. I chased again and after much back and forth with the Head of Customer Services, who had to contact the driver and then call me back, I was informed that the driver was delayed. I was initially told he was stuck in traffic but would still make it in time, but by 12:15pm he had still not arrived. After calling again, I was told that the cupcakes had been in the Fulham Store all along (!) and asked that these be sent to the party venue, so the children had something to celebrate with. At around 12:40pm I was told that the driver with the Unicorn Cake was in fact nowhere near the party venue (!) and would not make it before 1pm when the party ended. I was also informed that the cupcakes had not been sent from the Fulham store as they were not picking up the phone in the branch… This was an extremely stressful and chaotic experience (I was on the phone / email to Flavourtown over the course of 6 hours). This could have been rectified simply and efficiently by sending a replacement cake from one of your shops (your website states you have some cakes in both Fulham and Richmond), rather than consistently being provided with inaccurate information and false promises. After the party, I was told the cakes could be delivered at 4pm. I asked for a reduced price for the order but was told that as only the best ingredients for the cakes are used, only a 15% reduction would be offered. We obviously no longer needed a 10” unicorn rainbow cake and 36 cupcakes for a family of 5 so cancelled the order altogether. Whilst I was sympathetic to the power cut, the handling of the situation and the customer service I received was appalling. If I had received accurate information at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.15pm, I could have planned the day differently and found a replacement cake before or even during the party. The whole process was extremely stressful, upsetting and frustrating, not to mention an unnecessary waste of everyone's time. The order should have been given free of charge alongside a compensation voucher as a minimum, being offered a reduced price of 15% for an order was totally inappropriate.

I went to the bakery to buy some cupcakes. There was only 1 person working on a Saturday, which had a terrible customer service. Not only he wasn't greeting anyone. He was taking ages to do everything without even communicating (Probably they are under staffed) We were waiting for more than 20 minutes with just 2 people in front of us on the queue. The employee was taking long time to prepare delivery orders. Which by the way there were boxes and bags everywhere on the shop, all the tables were full of them. So you couldn't even sit if you wanted to. I didn't have time to lose, so I had to leave without being able to buy the cupcakes for my friend's birthday, which I ended up buying somewhere else. It was one of the worst customer experience I had. Sad.

Butter Cream is Awful & Sponge Dry I ordered a Pride Ultimate Rainbowgasm Cake for £95. In summary, the buttercream was AWFUL and made all my guests feel sick as it tasted entirely of butter. Also the sponge was very DRY. The cake looked good but the colours were very DULL compared to the pictures on their website. I drove an hour each way to collect the cake from their bakery in NW10. When I wrote to FLAVOURTOWN on the same day with feedback, they told me I was wrong and that they had already had several reorders for the same cake from that day. They said the only way they would consider any gesture of goodwill was if I took a slice of cake back to their baker. I declined. This company is very arrogant in their communications and the taste of their cakes was awful. The cake does come in a lovely box and is quite unique and colourful, but I was gutted that I made my guests feel sick. Website photo versus real photo attached.
