Flat Pack Mates delivered our large wardrobe on time. We were afraid they might have trouble bringing it up the stairs to the second floor since our building doesn’t have a lift. But they had no problem and brought everything inside the flat. The assembly took them no more than twenty minutes and they were on their merry way. We are very pleased with their work. Requested their same day service yesterday and I'm so happy I found this provider. Initially, I hired a different company who did not show up. When I called Flat Pack Mates, I spoke with a customer representative who was very helpful on the phone. Shortly I had a team of three people show up, and they had all the work completed by the end of the workday. I had a lot of furniture to assemble, install, mount to the wall, and I am surprised they managed to do it that fast. First and foremost, I would like to say my sole purpose of writing this review is to educate other potential buyers about my personal experience with this service. I would highly discourage using this company and if I could give it no stars I would. I used this service almost 2 years ago, and despite being very unhappy about the service provided, I refrained from posting a review. Now 2 years later, due to the cowboy job done on assembling my wardrobe, the whole part is collapsing and parts of the wardrobe have snapped off because of the quick and poor assembly done by the company. On the day the service was due to be provided, two workers came in. At the time I had read the good reviews online which is why I chose this company, despite the hefty £130 they were charging me for what they quoted to be around just under 2 hours of work. There were much cheaper service providers around but I opted for this one as I thought I would be paying for good service. I was wrong. Just over an hour after arriving, both workers claimed to be finished with the job of assembling my wardrobe and left. After they left I noticed that the doors on my sliding door wardrobe had no lock. They were moving from one end of the wardrobe to the other with no stop. They were even moving in of each other and behind! The fur brush that is put against the door was also missing and some parts of the wardrobe were damaged, either chipped, bent or scratched. I rang the company up saying the job had been incomplete and they sent the workers back. Upon their second arrival the workers were very gruff and unfriendly, clearly not happy about being sent back to finish a job that they were meant to finish in the first place. When they restarted the job and opened their toolkit I noticed that they had taken the fur roll and screws and parts with them when they left the first time round to make it seem like they were truly finished. Though they completed the unfinished parts on the door, it was apparent that certain parts of the wardrobe were rushed and unstable to an extent. Still I thought maybe i was looking into it too much and let it go. A few months later I went on holiday, and when I returned I noticed the entire door was hanging off its hinge. I called up the company who said because it had been a few months they would not send anybody out without a second charge. I managed to clip the door back on its rail with the help of some relatives and neighbour's. Still, the door was anything but stable. Now two years later I notice a bang and the roof of the wardrobe had collapsed. The roof of the wardrobe has collapsed. Though it's easy to blame that wardrobe manufacturer, the retailer I brought it from is very reliable(wayfair) and the reviews on the product are very satisfied. It is clear the problems I am having with my wardrobe are from the rushed and poor job that this service has provided and failed to rectify. My £600 wardrobe is now unsalvageable and falling apart, and I have spent the past two years worrying about opening my wardrobe doors ever so slowly in case I manage to unhook a screw not carefully placed.
