I had a truly amazing experience with Flamingo yachts on their tour to Cumbrae Distillery. The lunch was fantastic. I was on my own, but the other group members were all really friendly, and Pete and Hugh were fantastic! I would highly recommend this experience, and will definitely be doing it again!

A group of 4 of us chartered ocean star, the Bavaria 30 for a long weekend in September and explored the Kyles of Bute, Arran, and tarbert. This was the first time I've chartered and the process was easy and the comms were good. On arrival we were allowed to get on a bit early which was very helpful, and the boat was set up and ready for a quick briefing and off. It was a great experience in a beautiful location and the flamingo team were helpful throughout.

We had the best Covid anniversary here.And a special shout out to our gondolier- Sam. He made our ride that much more special and his singing was great. I have been using Flamingo for some years now and have always found their service top notch. The ownership changed a few years ago and the already high standards continued and have improved. Muir and his colleagues did a great job in establishing Flamingo and the new people have taken it to another level. New yachts have been introduced, the handovers are slick and the yachts beautifully presented. Enquiries are friendly, informative and the booking is handled efficiently. After many charters I have yet to have any serious issues with the yachts, which is testament to how well they are maintained. The Clyde has a lot to offer, with many a beautiful anchorage, some great harbours as well as wonderful wildlife (and the occasional submarine). Highly recommended.

Over about 4 years I have chartered sailing yachts from Flamingo on about 5 occasions. I have found the people at Flamingo to be invariably helpful and courteous. The boats have generally been in good condition - although occasionally some of the equipment and fittings haven't worked 100%.

Sailing out of Largs on a sunny, calm early Summer's evening in May 2019 was one of the best experiences of my life. Beers, friends, good banter, good company and surrounded by peace, serenity and mother nature! Of course, we interrupted it with some intermittent blasts of yacht rock! Flamingo had the best boat laid on for us, which was like a floating palace with navigation equipment that allowed us to navigate around a postage stamp. Largs marina is very well facilitated with all that you need for your outward and return journey and my precious Jaguar XJS was parked up for the long weekend without any worries. Security is spot on, giving total peace of mind.

We did our first ever charter in October 2019 having just completed our RYA qualifications. We spent a truly glorious week on the 37 ft Voyager having been upgraded ( free of charge!) from the 30ft Ocean Star which had a mechanical issue. The staff were so helpful. Booking was a cinch and the price was very reasonable ( even if we had not had the upgrade!) with no hidden extras. The yacht was spick and span on our arrival and everything was explained in a relaxing manner making it a great start to the holiday. After a week of idyllic conditions in what must be amongst the most tranquil but spectacular settings the ‘sign-off’ back in Largs was as simple and friendly as ever. I would recommend Flamingo in the blink of an eye!
