Sir Never Wrong
I left Fitz in July 77. Best years of my life. Only regret is that I didn't appreciate school at the time and now wish I had nuckled down and put more effort into learning and achieving better grades in all subjects rather than just the two I enjoyed most, woodwork and metalwork with Mr Angel and Mr Hurrel. Names i will never forget. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. One teacher I also remember and not too fondly was Mr Hurt the geography teacher I believe. Hurt by name, Hurt by nature. He was very keen on detention and the slipper across your backside. Not sure that's allowed nowadays though. Mustn't forget Mr Ready, the mad maths teacher in the tower block and Mr Beech the French teacher with very bright ginger hair. And then there was Mr Woodham, the music teacher with his customised cars. I remember his orange coloured mini estate with side exhaust pipes that he'd put on back to front, lol, and his jacked up 2.0L capri with a fake turbo sticker on the back !!!!!!! Ahhhhh, the good old days. :-) If only I could re-live them. Yes please.

The learning in the school itself was excellent. The thing that made 5 years of my life worth 2 stars was the fact that the 'bullying is not tolerated' rule that the school supposedly follows was not ever proven to me. My whole time at the school I was bullied in one way or another and the response was basically just 'boys will be boys'. The last couple of years (which may I add is the already stressful GCSE years) I was harassed and bullied and for months it was passed off as 'flirting' or 'someone liking me and not knowing how to show it'. This made me seriously feel like I didn't matter or that what I was experiencing was just disguarded as 'flirting'. It only stopped when I told the schools coucillor about the incident and she could not believe the school had been so ignorant.
