    This place has really gone downhill lately. Lg cod and chips, last night, was awful. The cod was stuck to the paper and broke up as I got it out of box, plus everything was soggy. Won’t go there again.

    Chips were uncooked and the batter on the fish and on the sausage in batter hadn’t even seen the fryer, the worst fish and chips i have ever had, will never use that place again, threw the lot away, a waste of expensive money. Jesus…….1 year on from my last review and the food is still uncooked…….how the hell is this shop still open as they have no idea how to cook……….20.05.2023

    Ordered a large cod and chips as regular wasn’t available. The supposedly large cod was tiny ! The meal cost over £14 , and wasn’t that nice either ! Rip off !

I believe theres a new manager witch has changed the food for the better , 100%improvement Kid-friendliness: Staff not all about rushing and take just that little time to interact with children ! It gos along way making my kids wanting to come back

    This is a Real shame. I used to visit here frequently. It was great before it was all done up. However, now it is overpriced and the portion sizes are a joke. Ordered large chips. Got home to find a box of chips that were equivalent to a small. And rolls with butter just dolloped in. I Went back and questioned it but was told that it was a large. Shame as the chips are nice but it's not worth the money. Plus the older lady who serves always seems to have a "face"on and is grumpy 😠 I'll be going elsewhere unfortunately now.

    We got two pieces of cod yesterday, one large one smaller and regular chips. My fish, the smaller one, had obviously been reheated as the batter was very crispy and stuck to the fish that was yellow I couldn't eat it. My husband's looked fresh and he said it was nice. £21 for something that was partly inedible. Why would you serve something that you know to be inferior. Well never again will I buy fish and chips from here.
