I recently visited The Fishmore Hall Hotel & Spa for an afternoon tea experience, and I must say that the views and the setting were the highlight of my visit. The hotel is situated on beautiful grounds that offer stunning vistas, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. As for the afternoon tea itself, it was decent but not exceptional. The food was satisfactory, though nothing particularly stood out. The tea selection, however, was impressive with a vast array of options to choose from. The staff at the hotel were generally polite, but I did have a couple of issues with the service. Our first waitress provided a detailed explanation of the food, which was much appreciated. However, the second waitress did not follow suit, leaving us a bit confused about the dishes we were enjoying. Additionally, she took our plates away while I was still eating, which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, no one checked in to ask how we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything else. In terms of the atmosphere, the dining area felt a bit eerie in the beginning, as there were only a few tables occupied and the room was very quiet. This may not be a problem for some, but it might be worth considering if you prefer a livelier ambiance. Overall, The Fishmore Hall Hotel & Spa offers a picturesque setting for afternoon tea, but there is certainly room for improvement in terms of food quality and consistency in service.
