Went there at 4.00pm on Friday afternoon. The place was lively enough and it is a nice setting by the canal, but none of their three real ales were on. If you want a decent pint of real ale go somewhere else.

I think the must have been severely under staffed during this bank holiday weekend. The staff seem to be rushed of their feet and we had take other people’s empty drinks back just to clear the table. Also had to clean the table which didn’t seemed it was cleaned in weeks (see photo of the dirt collected. It will probably be sometime before we come back.

Very nice Pub/Gourmet restaurant by the canal, it is nicely decorated. Service is very good and the food is very tasty and well proportionate. We had the Sunday roast, drinks felt expensive from other similar places.

Ben and his team were very helpful and accommodating. We hired the function area by the canal for my sons 21st birthday gathering and it was a lovely experience. Everyone said how good the food was as well I would definitely recommend this venue
