Great for a novel experience and being right on the sea front. Parking right outside. Key collection and return from the main hotel a short walk away, or very quickly by car. The lounge area had a low ceiling, ok unless you're 6ft tall! The bedroom on the upper level was accessible via stairs which were akin to a ladder. Tea, coffee and milk provided.

Was purchased as a surprise birthday stay. Far smaller than expected from images. There was limited parking once you found it and the further up the hut was the more difficult it was to park not helped by other guests inconsiderate parking. The upstairs fridge was extremely noisy ( whining and humming continously) and could be heard throughout the whole building. Be prepared for smallest shower height. Wednesday is not a good day to go to Whitstable as majority of places are closed.. We left in very early hours of the morning due to lack of sleep because of the noise and when handing keys in to the continental hotel explained why we left. No follow up made...could improve guest service. Some are dog friendly but with white bedding...remember to bring covers/bedding etc to make dogs comfortable. Missed a few tricks like dog biscuits / bowl of water etc to make all guests feel welcome. Does have free WiFi but the TV does not have ITV or channel 4 ( back to 3 channels to watch!). Location was lovely. Broken facilities let the place down and lack of guest follow up. ( even an apology).

Had a great short weekend away with family here. Looks are deceptive... they look weatherd from the outside but are very different inside. We went at a very cold time of year but our dwelling was nice and warm. Thank you. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 Hotel highlights Romantic … More

We loved this little place. Perfectly located. The only reason for 4 stars not 5 is the stairs up to the bedrooms. We stayed in the dog friendly one, but the stairs was more like a ladder. Any dog that you cant lift will struggle alot up and down them. But other than that its a perfect getaway. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More

We stayed in hut 14, lovely views out over the estuary but very cramped for 4 adults. Nowhere for everyone to sit in the evenings indoors. Facilities are very limited in the kitchen, I know these are not sold as self catering, but a toaster and a least a sharp knife would not have gone amiss especially since they no longer offer a ‘complimentary’ breakfast at the Hotel Continental (can still be booked in advance if you wish and paid for at the time). There were a few issues which we raised with reception, the toilet seat in the 1st floor bathroom was barely hanging on, toilet roll holder was hanging off, the freezer compartment in the fridge was frozen solid and door broken, the information leaflet telling us Wi-Fi codes etc had not been left in the hut and numerous bulbs not working. They did get a maintenance person out, but sadly they were unable to fix the toilet seat, the replacement bulbs they had did not fit, the defrosting of the freezer was a much longer job than they had anticipated and even with the Wi-Fi code it was virtually non-existent. These huts are not cheap, but I appreciate their position command these sort of prices, however, when breakfast was included they were much better value and with little if anything to be able to at least have a light breakfast it does mean that booking again is not really an option along with all the other issues that we had. Also should mention that as with most seaside resorts, seagulls are constant nuisance, unfortunately there is public waste bin right outside the property which sadly attracts seagulls from near and far, quite often pulling out and scattering the rubbish all over. Whilst I appreciate that there is not a lot the Hotel can do about this, it might just be useful to be aware, perhaps the council could/should think about installing seagull proof bins!

Situated right on the beach front these huts are a must have if you stay in Whitstable. Very basic but that's the beauty of these, everything you want and need. The beach is a stones throw away and the great little high street is a 2 minute walk away. Photo was taken from outside the huts
