My cat Marty died on Sat morning 22nd April. We had used Firtrees before, so contacted them again. We took him that same morning to drop him off. There was no Chapel to put him in, it was a building site!! The man kindly took Marty of us and went to put him in a shed behind the building work. I was bereft at leaving my fur baby here. My husband tried to reassure me. We asked for Marty's ashes to be returned the following Saturday a week later. We called on that Saturday to be informed we could not pick up Marty's ashes, due to diggers etc being in the way. They told us his ashes would be ready on the Sunday. We arrived to pick his ashes up on Sunday, no diggers around. We were given a little cheap box with Marty's ashes in, like the boxes you can buy at the word book shop. We were told the little foot print in potting clay would still be wet for a time. Where had my poor cat been for the last week? Just left alone in a shed on a building site!! We were promised an engraved box with Marty's name on, this has still not arrived, would I use this service again, no I have to say. Just feel that we have been fobbed of a couple of times, at what has been a distressing and painful time in our lives.

The unthinkable happened last Friday evening, we lost Fudge, one of our 17 year old cats and to say we were devastated is an understatement. Iβd seen Firtree pet cremation on my iPad so decided to contact them to see if they could take care of her for us. I spoke to Jake, who was very understanding and helpful during our phone call. We arranged to take her in on Saturday afternoon not really knowing what to expect. When we arrived Jake was waiting and guided us to an outbuilding where we laid Fudge out. Jake explained things to us in a very simple manner which is all we really could take at that time, he has a very good understanding of grieving families. The following day was Mothers Day so we hoped we could get her ashes back, but werenβt sure. I messaged Jake mid afternoon to see if it was possible and he said yes so we picked her up at 5:15. Our family were all back together again at home that evening. Not the best way of spending 48 hours! But we would recommend Jake & Firtree to anyone in a similar situation. His service was first class. Thank you Jake!

I would like to say a huge thanks to Lucy, Robert and Jake for the kindness shown to myself and my family when we lost our beloved beautiful fur baby Tilly on Saturday, nothing was too much trouble they are absolutely wonderful, the speed of everything they did to arrange we got our Tilly back home to us on Sunday was a great comfort to us all. When we arrived at Firwood we were met by Lucy who showed us to a beautiful room were we left messages for Tilly on their memory wall, it was a real comfort to spend time in the lovely surroundings. Everything was arranged with dignity and their kindness was above and beyond. I canβt thank them all enough for all their help, even Jakes Mum played her part in arranging for Lucy to deal with our loss.

After a recommendation. I chose firtree for my 23 year old cat to be cremated here. Sadly the service I received, has put me off every using this firm again. I would not recommend it . Communication needs improvement and I felt there was no empathy. I may have caught them on a bad week. But when you are dealing with bereavement. Good communication is paramount.

This is our second time using Jake and his family's service, we honestly would not use anyone else! They genuinely understand the heartbreak of losing a furry family member and show the utmost respect. We were made to feel welcome and in no way rushed out upon both times, the first being during lockdown on a cold February evening and Jake patiently waited out in the cold, rainy evening whilst we said our final goodbyes to Dave the cat. When on site of the Crematorium, were left to grieve in the quiet room for as long as we needed and on both occasions our babies ashes were back home where they belong within 24 hours. Our personal requests were granted with no quibble. We will be returning when it is time for our remaining furbabies to join their siblings over the rainbow Bridge π Thank you Jake for taking care of Dave πββ¬ and Buster π on their final journey ππ

My daughter and I were heartboken when we had to say goodbye to Kylah our loving dog of 15 years . The family service at Fir Tree really were so helpful , understanding and caring , it definitely eased our hurt and let us give our girl the final act of love we could knowing they would take care of this final step with respect and care We have a wonderful hand made wooden casket with her name on for her ashes and other beautiful keepsakes . The paw print in clay is wonderful to touch when we are missing Kylah and it all takes pride of place on our Mantle ! Thank you all so much π

My pet rat Eartha passed away and me and my partner were devastated, this crematorium took care of our girl and were so considerate during this difficult time. Really lovely staff, very supportive, and amazing service. Eartha's ashes were put in a velvet bag in an engraved box and we even got to keep a little clay paw print, so special and made a thoroughly sad time a little bit easier to deal with. Thank you for your work.
