Doesn't provide what it says it will, quarterly meetings weren't receive, study materials not received in good time and when you contact someone it takes weeks for a response. Some emails received some not, and when you call them on it, they obviously don't agree and therefore you get nothing back. Gutted by the whole experience for me and the financial loss but more for my son whom I've seen utterly deflated and even lose interest in the idea of sport in America.

My son signed up for First Point USA early 2016 looking for a soccer scholarship to the USA in 2017. I have waited until now to write this review to make sure that I understood the US system and where my son fitted into it to give a fair assessment of the service they provided him. They were at the time one of the most expensive service and did little more than provide administrative support to get you on their database and produce a substandard video of your playing ability as far as I could see. Their consultant lied to us on numerous occasions but specifically not inviting us to their showcase in the year my son was actually looking for a scholarship (because we signed early we had attended the previous years showcase just to get a feel for the event). We only found out that the showcase for our year had happened via twitter. When we confronted our assigned consultant he claimed the showcase was being split into two and we would be part of the second showcase early in 2017. This was a total lie and never happened. Firstpoint had no interest in what type of school we were looking for only that you considered any offer they found for you which appeared to be mostly NAIA schools. When I asked for specific information about who we were being marketed too they ignored the question. I asked for a breakdown of the number of scholarships split by Ncaa div 1, 2 and naia in previous years and they refused to answer. When asked about the differences between NAIA and NCAA Div1 and 2 they implied that the standard was high in all US college soccer IMHO this is a lie. I re-edited the videos myself to create something half way decent and sent it directly to some coaches one of whom immediately contacted us and offered my son a full scholarship all be it at a low level NAIA school. Firstpoint immediately claimed credit for finding this placement when my son told them despite the fact when I spoke to the coach he told me he made the offer on the basis of the direct contact and had no idea we were using Firstpoint. My son played decent level football in the UK for a League 2 academy and one of the top amateur teams in London winning 2 consecutive London cups and a middlesex cup directly before heading to the USA. After three years in the US he played his first year in the NAIA making the All Conference First team as a freshman, the standard of play and players was really poor only the very top teams having any decent players. He transfered to a university in the Sunshine state conference (the toughest in ncaa div 2) where the standard is significantly higher and he made all conference 2nd team and South Region 2nd team as a sophomore. He then played for Tormenta in USL League 2 the top amateur tier in the USA going to the national semi finals in 2019. So clearly enough ability to play in NCAA Div 1 or for a top school in Div 2 and yet Firstpoint USA failed to find him anything reasonable nor in my opinion made any real effort to do so. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

They are scammers, stay far away from them! My friend informed that they get you to sign a contract, if for some reason you choose that you dont want to go ahead with the move even if they haven’t provided you with any services at that point in time, they will send a debt collection company to your house months later for absurd amounts of money, for doing absolutely nothing. Please STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
