Really shady business, we were told a quote would take an hour then they turned up giving us lots of information we didn't need, then after an hour I asked how much longer it would take, he said just 45 mins more. After 3 hours in total they gave us a quote for £23000 which is way higher then any quote we've had previously and told us if we book today we'll get it for £15000, so if you can do it for £15000 why not give that price in the first place. We said we were not going to book anything today as we have other quotes to look at, so he asked how much we wanted it for. We said half price and he offered that, so why ask for more money then? They really tried to pressure us into it, and I'm sure the long meetings for a quote and useless info are to wear you down so you just agree to get rid of him. They ask a lot of leading questions, "don't you feel that your windows are in bad condition?" of course that's why we contacted you. On multiple occasions we asked them to hurry up and they just didn't. They did multiple (in my opinion scripted) phone calls to the office asking to lower the price which I'm sure are so we can hear again what we are missing out on. Of course the office agreed to lower the price because the original price was crazy, it was all an act. Please avoid them, they are not trustworthy. I feel for any elderly people being swindled by them.

We had a porch door and window fitted in June 2022 and the items themselves are fine, but the fitting was dreadful; lots of gaps and not properly sealed. We have been trying to get their customer services to come back and remedy the faults ever since. As at early Feb 2023, we are told that the earliest they can send a technician to fix the problem is 21st March. Customer care and follow up service is appalling.

I would give them no stars if possible, they came to measure and price 4 windows, after nearly 2 hours of utter nonsense including a quote of £6,500, I asked them to leave. They didn't even measure my windows. They did try and baffle me with BS, including taking a thermal photo of my existing windows. I would avoid them like the plague.

That is 3hrs of my life I will never get back! All I needed was a price, please put the rest in a brochure or your website, do not waste people's time. I booked two window companies to come quote, 1.5hrs apart. The second company came and went in 30minutes gave me a price half of First Home Improvements, and the 1st were still there even after the 2nd guy left. Even after I asked the sales rep (who was lovely) to leave, he said he couldn't until he spoke to main office. They also requested BOTH my husband and I were present, is this 1950??? The company itself is despicable for this kind of sales tactic. Even if you have the best product in the market at a good price (which they don't in my opinion) I would not go for them. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Quote took over an hour, initially quoted £5700 for a standard composite door. Quote was then reduced to £3000. After declining a few days later we got a text to say they could do it for £2200. Absolute con!

A long-established company from Norwich producing quality Yale windows and doors, in Southampton since 2019, also have offices in Portsmouth and Bournemouth. But as everywhere it’s much better to be their customer than employee. Vacancy on Indeed says they’re looking for drivers with salary £35-40K and no sales or cold calls, but in reality it’s full time Monday to Saturday job, using your own car, no uniform, no petrol allowance, and it’s not driving but selling their overpriced windows to cold customers (knocking on doors) using horrendous and rather idiotic scripts. Managers forbid to rephrase them and force to stick to the scripts. And they pay for this only £200 a week + small commission if you meet sales targets (~5 orders a week). Most can’t sell and leave very soon without pay, training is unpaid, reviews made by either residents and staff are mostly appalling (like here). Also they don’t advertise on TV, Internet or leaflets, but use people’s houses like ‘marketing tools’ (putting posters and before and after photos). Working ‘culture’ is shocking, even people doing training hardly use any words apart from F-words, dirty jokes, toxic and cynical atmosphere. Windows themselves are very good, nice customer service and aftercare. Company is thriving by the way.
