**Noted** You’ve taken your comments off F4S. No worries I’d already taken screen shots before they were removed. **UPDATE3** First4Solar have now gone into administration, watch out out for their “New” company, GRANGE FARM DEVELOPMENTS (MARTON) LTD. Steer well clear. **UPDATE 2** Downgraded back down to 1*. Despite the intervention of HIES, they failed to turn up to complete the remedial work, at a time they confirmed they would come. Told once again by “Daniel” He “would sort it”. But note, that’s what I was told in August! **UPDATE** This review score has been updated now that Daniel has responded to my emails. I will review it again once the warranty work has been completed. Could someone reply to my emails please concerning the warranty work on my system you installed in 2019.

Horrible! Everything that happens to other also happened to me: Delays in surveys, low quality designs, non-existing permits, two last-minute cancelations of appointments to install, etc. I’ve heard all the excuses: sickness of the engineer, bad weather, rail strikes, war in Ukraine, After 12 months, I asked for the deposit back because I did not believe the lies anymore. It has been three months and I have not managed to get the deposit. I received a small portion of it. However, First4Solar/TANREC claims £175 for the design, and what they sent does not even meet my order. They claim £250 for the survey, and what I received is a hand-written box (literally) with numbers together with photos provided by me, and a check list. Finally, they want to charge £90 application fee for the DNO and when I investigate it turns out they did not even submitted the application in the first place. So all those appointment to install were just fake and I was never in the waiting list to get anything in place. I have been dealing with HIES trying to mediate, but not even that is working. According to HIES, First4Solar/TANREC do not answer to calls. I am now claiming to the Customer Ombudsman. I have claimed also losses for the energy saving promised in the contract and not delivered which I believe I am entitled based on Customer Act. I’ll update the review because I won’t give up. My advice: 1. Avoid at all cost. You can see how many people are disappointed, so why running the risk? It is worth going to someone more expensive but with 2. If it is too late, record the calls because they constantly lie and ask for email confirmation 3. Challenge the design and the survey if you believe is not up to standard, and in written send a letter stating that so you are not charged after from the deposit. If someone organises a collective action against First4Solar/TANREC, I’ll be more than happy to join.

The company has recently 5th May called in the administrators. If you have paid them money on a credit card then instigate a section 75 NOW. The company is insolvent they will and can never deliver what the promised. Many hundreds of people have lost their deposits, while the directors close the business and walk away from all the mysery. Beware you have been warned.

It took them 3 years to deliver a battery. Now only half of our panels are working and despite being told about this they’re no longer answering the phone, they aren’t answering emails and we’re losing money in the midst of a cost of living crisis because only half our panels are producing power.

Paid a deposit in Feb-22 and still don't have any gear as of May-23. They didn't show up on my install date 4 separate times. They contracted scaffolders who damaged my property and broke into my garden. They don't ever call you back. They cannot be trusted. Do not use this company.

If I had of checked on Companies house first that the owners of ‘Tanrec LTD’ trading as ‘First 4 Solar’ Daniel Lee Hawkins, David Hawkins & Wendy Elizabeth Hawkins had dissolved a number of companies previously, I would have not given my £4000 deposit to ‘First 4 Solar’/ ‘Tanrec LTD’. They received my deposit 16/12/22 with an install date of mid March 2023. March came and there was no communication from anyone from the office. I rang Dan numerous times who would not answer and would only reply by text (even when I requested a call back). I contacted everyone who had sent me an email from the office as for an update and got nothing. This is by far the worst company experience I have ever had! When I ring the office now it goes to a virtual office of someone who doesn’t even work for ‘First 4 Solar’/ ‘Tanrec LTD’. Dan just doesn’t answer his phone or text back anymore. It’s now 10/5/23 and there is no sign of communication to get my deposit back, I have officially requested my deposit back (28/4/23) and still had nothing back. I am seeking advice on how I can take this matter further and best routes to get my money back. I have reported it to HIES (HIES said there is a large number of ongoing cases against ‘Tanrec LTD’/ ‘First 4 Solar’ and I was added to the list of unhappy customers, they agreed to inform me of any ongoing inquiries), also my bank are now looking into the matter, I will keep my review updated with ongoing events.

Fraudsters and thieves! This company shouldn't even be allowed to trade. They took our money £10,000+ and no customer service, no after care service nothing. I must have phoned them 100+ times and everytime i am promised a call back from "director" or someone "senior" and it's been a year i have been waiting on that call back. Now after a year of phoning they have got this "answering company" to take their phone calls for them which is even more useless. They take your number and details and promise you a call back from first4 solar within 72 hours. You'd be lucky if you get that call back in 72 weeks!!!!!! Avoid these fraudsters and do yiur research before going with them. I am reporting them to crime watch and everywhere i possibly can report them. This should be illegal what they're doing!!
