FAQ

What types of food donations does the food bank accept?

We accept non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereal. We also accept fresh produce and meat, but they must be within their expiration date and properly packaged. We do not accept homemade food items or products that have been opened or partially used.

How often can I receive assistance from the food bank?

We do not have a set limit on how often someone can receive assistance from our food bank. We understand that circumstances can change, and we are here to provide help as needed. However, we do encourage those who are able to seek long-term solutions to their food insecurity, such as finding stable employment or accessing government assistance programs.

Do you offer any additional services or resources, such as job training or healthcare referrals?

Yes, we offer a variety of additional services and resources to our clients. We partner with local organizations to provide job training, resume building, and interview skills workshops. We also offer referrals to healthcare providers and other social services. Please contact us for more information on these services.

How do you ensure the safety and quality of the food distributed?

We take the safety and quality of the food we distribute very seriously. Our staff and volunteers undergo training on proper food handling and storage procedures. We also regularly inspect the food we receive for damage or contamination. Any food that does not meet our standards is discarded. Additionally, we follow all relevant food safety regulations set forth by the government.

How can I donate or volunteer at the food bank?

We welcome both donations and volunteers! To donate, you can drop off non-perishable food items at our location during our open hours. You can also make a monetary donation on our website. To volunteer, please fill out our online application form and attend a volunteer orientation session. We appreciate any and all support.

A food bank which is helping local people. Run entirely by volunteers. These people are doing an amazing job but can't do it without the help of the local people who do have enough. Don't throw out your food, DONATE it and help these people to help local families who don't have enough. With 4 new referrals per day and stocks at their lowest, please help this amazing cause.
