This was a lovely surprise. I had no idea there were any lavender fields in Essex. There is parking available however you need to jump out of the car to open the gate and jump out to shut it again in order to be able to park. When you arrive you give your name and handed a bucket and all equipment you need including a guide on how to cut lavender. It is a lovely activity to do and be at one with nature. I can’t wait to see how the lavender blooms again for summer 2023! There is food and drink available including ice cream, cakes and hot drinks if you wish. The only downside for me is there were no hand washing facilities near only sanitiser. You do need to pre book and tickets are non refundable so you need to keep this in mind. I am also unsure of is if there are toileting facilities should you want to stay longer.

What a lovely little gem outside Finchingfield! Gorgeous lavender field, lovely tents and camping area in wild countryside. A cute little cafe area selling homemade treats and drinks at a very reasonable price. Well worth the visit and will most definitely be back!! Tip: You must book and you can't take dogs.

Great experience, we popped out for the day and the owners where very gracious and allowed us to enter as we had not booked online - very important 😊 for next time. We harvested some lavender, took some photos, tasted their amazing ice cream and meandered our way back through the bristish countryside! Highly recommended.
