This is a wonderful place to visit and explore the ruins at leisure. There was an on site guide wandering around ready to answer questions and there is a small cafe there too, although the drinks are quite expensive. I would like to have had some information boards around the site, and maybe a signpost for the toilets would be useful. There is a lovely river walk on the site and it is very dog friendly. We'll worth a visit.

Lots of ruins left but sadly, no signage or history really, shame on EH. probably the reason for this is that access is in a caravan park down a narrow lane. On the plus side there is also a nice woodland walk. NB car park charge of £4 Payable contactless on way out.

Used to be a lovely place for a day out and picnic. Now car park is £4 you can’t stay longer than 2 hours and picnics not allowed. I don’t know what they are trying to achieve but the owners will kill off any visitors with this blatant profiteering!

A wonderful, peaceful ruin with a limited but pleasant café. Walking along the river is delightful. The sound of birdsong and the rapid water over the rocks was lovely.
