Alin and his team did an exceptional job and we're in LOVE with our new parquet floor! We've been renovating our new property for almost the past 2 years and Finwood are by far the most professional outfit we've used. Because our flat is on the first floor, our neighbours downstairs were concerned that a new wood floor would cause lots of noise (we previously had carpet). Alin went above and beyond to ease their concerns by writing a letter detailing the soundproofing option we were having installed, even including references from similar installations. Fin Wood's craftsmen do excellent work. Alin is truly passionate about woodworking and the artisan craft of making beautiful hardwood floors. That means he'll work on your home like it's his own. They'll take the time to work through every detail, ensuring that the floor is done to a very high standard. This means starting with a robust, sturdy, sealed subfloor. In my situation, we had an elevation change within our old flat and they were able to transition this to be unnoticeable and remove trip hazards. On both occasions - (2021) sub-floor replacement, and laying engineered boards, and (2023) re-oiling parquet blocks - Alin provided timely, comprehensive and transparent quotations. Once work commenced they were punctual, polite, and completed the jobs to the timescales provided.
