The building for me is very run down looking and clearly needs investment. I understand it has to be justified and given how popular ice skating seems to be I'm surprised the local Council don't invest. The spectators area is absolutely baltic so if you plan to watch make sure you are wrapped up well or take a small blanket. The seating feels a bit cramped with minimum leg room. The cafe area is also very cold so if you expect to come away from the arena and into a nice warm cafe to heat up, your in for a cold shock. The cafe staff are nice and the food and drink is fine and reasonably priced. I can only speak for the gents but the toilet was smelling of long lasting urine although on the face of it they appeared clean. In general the whole place needs seen to and badly needs investment. The parking area outside is a good size but looks as if its been bombed a few times as there are pot holes everywhere.

Fantastic hour and a half on ice with my two daughters and grandsons. Reasonably priced,- pay less if you bring your own skates. Friendly helpful staff. Hired a penguin for my youngest grandchild. He took to it and enjoyed going round the rink for ages.
