  My mother underwent elective knee surgery in October 2012. During the procedure an artery was damaged causing internal bleeding and compartment syndrome resulting in a totally avoidable above knee amputation. Once I had stabilised my mother I went about seeking legal advice in order to file a medical negligence claim against the NHS. I attended meetings with at least seven personal injury firms and rejected all of them. The majority of my decisions were based on gut instinct and how I was received and how they responded to me asking very direct and frank questions. I then decided to find a solicitor by researching peer to peer reviews using Chambers and Legal 500. It was clear to see that Mark was highly regarded by his peers which such reviews as "He has good judgement. He will push in a really understated way to get the right result for his client." I reached out to Mark and he came to our home to meet my mother. The advice he gave was practical, measured and precisely what was required at the time and he showed genuine empathy. I also recall him saying that it was important that we concentrate on our lives and my mothers rehabilitation, whilst leaving the legal aspects of the case to him. In that instant, I knew we had made the correct decision. My mothers case eventually concluded in November 2015 with a successful outcome. Throughout the three years we had many lows seeing my mother having to cope with a life changing injury. However, through Marks expert guidance my mother was able to get back to living a full life. I can’t begin to put into words just how instrumental Mark was in making that possible. In summary, it is 11 years since my mothers incident and 8 years since the case concluded and to this day I still remain in contact with Mark - I think that alone gives the measure of the man. If there is anyone reading this review and in an unfortunate position of having suffered an injury and seeking legal redress - hand on heart you can do no better than seeking out Mark Bowman!

  My husband and I were so thankful to have had Field Fisher recommended to us. We started out with a different law firm who failed to get the process moving. A year later I met another parent by chance who had used Field Fisher, and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.   This is the first claim my husband has ever had to make and the fieldfisher were the first company to come up in our search. Unfortunately, my husband had been victimized by two discrete episodes of medical negligence (ischaemic priapism and the left capsular intracerebral bleed - stroke) happened to him in a very short interval of time of only four months. My husband met with Mr. Mark Bowman and Henry Kirwan, who were found to be very friendly, helpful with great advice they provided, on every step. They adopted the daunting and complex process of the medical negligence claim a lot more manageable. Both seemed to have a good understanding of the law and clinical negligence. Very quick, very easy and reliable experience and I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a great company.
