Great campsite, perfect for families. We had a hard standing pitch and it was nice and spacious. The kids absolutely loved playing in the little pond. There's a lovely big lake onsite, people were swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing. My kids spent hours paddling and looking for tadpoles. The whole lake was full of people enjoying which was a lovely sight. One biggie for us was a dog off the lead, in the water right in the middle of kids playing (and off a lead) There is a drying room which is well heated, although needs the door open to ventilate it as it's so humid it isn't really drying anything. Washing machines and tumbles aswell as communal fridges available aswell as a stock of dvds and books. The toilet block is big and spacious, and was clean at every point we used it over a long weekend. The showers are a little frustrating as their push buttons; so the shower only runs for around 20 seconds at a time. We didn't really see the owners or team apart from at check-in, but there always seemed to be staff around (we did meet one rude male member unfortunately). The shop has lots of bits and bobs although no ice! There's a little pizza shop and cafe on site. It has a lovely undercover seated area that was always busy. Coffee shop was quite expensive, £20 for 4 drinks and 2 cakes (chocolate cake wqs really dry) is quite steep, it would probably put us off using it which is a pity as we like to support sites. One downside for us was, as lovely as the social cafe area is, it's right by the toilets and showers. Personally, id rather not shower and walk around in my towel robe right next to people enjoying and pizza and prosecco. The site has a 'quiet' rule after about 10.30pm which we appreciated. We were there over a bank holiday and didn't feel this rule was broken at any point. Campers all seemed very polite and considerate of each other. We would return and we recommend the site.
