    Very disappointed experience at Ferragamo on Bond St. My mom and I went shopping at Bond St. on Friday March 3rd. We purchased a handbag from Ferragamo and had a nice shopping experience with Luis. During the day, we visited other brands and decided to return the bag we purchased from Ferragamo. The next day, Saturday March 4th, we went back to Ferragamo and requested for a return. The bag is in original condition and packaging with tag, dusty bag, and original plastic sticker/protector. The person in the front desk (I forgot to ask for his name) told us it’s non-refundable, only eligible for exchange or store credit within 14 days of purchase. No one ever told us this is final sales (this is not a sales item) when we purchased the item (Ferragamo can check on cctv and prove me wrong) and there is no display at the cashier desk showing ‘final sales’ or ‘non-refundable’. To be more clear, there is no display AT ALL at the cashier desk. He then told me “Non-refundable is stated on the receipt AND it is customer’s responsibility to check on the return policy”, he then mentioned “ we used to have return policy display, but it doesn’t look good for displaying the sign, so we took it off” I argued that the “Non-refundable” statement on the receipt can only prove that we were notified AFTER the purchase (everyone gets the receipt after the purchase has already been made, correct?) Ferragamo neither mentions or display ‘non-refundable’ policy on their WEBSITE nor in store. How does customer check on the return policy? I assume that’s the reason Ferragamo has been losing customers over the years. Not just the design and variety of bags display on shelf and also the employee training. We ended up exchange it for another bag because there is a minor defect. And of course they do not see the stractch when we show it to them. Instead, another sales told us “No one is perfect, even human is not perfect”. Good statement, but I don’t think this is suitable for this situation. We didn’t have enough time to argue or contact customer service because we had flight to UAE and USA the next day (Sunday). Hopefully there is an imporvement for any other who is visiting Ferragamo in the future. Because my family and I are not coming back again.

    Tl dr: do not buy from the sale - they will not refund or exchange, no matter how soon you change your mind. I have been a happy customer of this store for many years, however that all changed today. I am truly appalled by the customer service I have received. On Saturday, I bought a pair of shoes for my fiancée in the sale. She wasn’t with me at the time so I took them home for her to try on. They didn’t quite fit, so on Wednesday I went into the store to return them. I was first told that no refund or exchange was possible for items bought in the sale, notwithstanding that I had bought them only 4 days beforehand. This shocked me. I was not warned at the time of purchase. The staff well knew I was buying for someone else and that therefore there was a good chance the shoes would not fit; yet they did not warn me in any way that refunds or exchanges were not possible. This is poor behaviour. To their credit, they then said that an exchange might be possible as a one off. However, after consulting the manager, they then decided that the shoes were “too worn” to be exchanged. They had only been worn at home for a quick walk up and down the living room, in the normal way one would try on shoes instore. So either they were sold to me in inadequate condition in the first place, with wear I did not notice, or their returns policy absurdly does not allow shoes to be tried on indoors for a couple of minutes. If that is the case, they should never have let me buy them for my fiancée to try on later in the first place. I was told that nothing could be done. I’m stuck with a pair of shoes that don’t fit. I cannot warn you enough not to buy anything in the sale to try on at home. I am bitterly disappointed; I have enjoyed shopping in the store until this experience. However the store has now lost a decent customer, and I would urge you to stay away.
