Visited in the midst of a VERY hot spell during 2020 (one of the rare occasions we were all let out that year!!) The weather was as warm as the welcome; friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit of a problem as the premises doesn't have much frontage (in common with the area) but we managed to squeeze on. Inside, the building is by and large well kept.....it DOES have a period feel and smell to it as you would expect from such an old building but we like this! Don't expect aircon and the like; this is a guest house, not a hotel. Given the heat of that weekend it WAS fairly stuffy BUT it was an exceptional weekend weather wise. Fans were provided. There were a few maintenance issues in our room but nothing that detracted from our stay. Breakfast was awesome 👌 and given the way 2020 has played out its worthy of note that the owners also observed social distancing in how they managed their patrons. All in all a pleasant experience and wouldnt hesitate to go back
