A perfect getaway and retreat to relax and unwind with no distractions. The tent was lovely and cozy with warm bedding and blankets and hot water bottles and larger than expected. The outdoor wood fired bath was perfect to watch the sunset across the fields with no passers by to disturb the peace. The log fire was perfect for BBQ and boiling the cast iron kettle. Wood and firefighters were plentiful. The kitchen, shower and toilets were clean and tidy and had everything required for a comfortable stay. Our hosts were fantastic. Pete and Isobel are wonderful and we had a tour of the grounds and the strawberry farming/picking. An awesome place and great experience. We didn’t need to but I feel sure that anything required the hosts would provide for your stay. I can’t recommend the nine acres Luna Tent with wood fired bathtub highly enough, get away from it all and really unwind.

From the moment we arrived we knew we wouldn’t want to leave. Isobel and Peter were fab. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We werent sure what glamping would entail but wow….we had our own little corner of countryside paradise. The tent was cosy and had lots creature comforts. The double bed was especially snug and warm. Hot water bottles, blankets and board games were at the ready, thankfully the British weather held out and they weren’t needed but nice to have just in case. The portable phone charger was a genius idea and lasted for ages. The converted horse box kitchen was novel and had everything we needed, whilst the cool box was just as good as a fridge. The shower was hot and the compost ‘lav-shack’ loo was actually simple to use. The fire pit/bbq was so good that we’ve taken down the details to invest for our own garden. And the Swedish hot tub….amazing! Took us little while to figure out how much wood was the right amount to burn but once we did, it was truly the best way to end the day. We were lucky enough to have clear nights sky’s, so spent time staring at the stars, even saw a few shooting stars which we don’t get to see back home and the sunsets were beautiful. During the days we went out to Oxford which was great. But also nearby Evenly & Brackley, where we watched the local cricket team and drank beer in the sunshine. Our prediction at the start of the visit was correct….we didn’t want to leave. The horses followed as we were packing the car as if to see us off and pulling out onto Featherbed Lane we were sad to go. Definitely comes highly recommended by us! Enjoy your stay. Paul and Siobhàn
