We had the BEST holiday here. The lodges were standard Featherdown Style with everything you could need but the highlight was the farm itself. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, there was a lovely atmosphere. The deer safari was amazing, and being able to feed hand feed deer from outside the lodge was a real highlight. You got the sense that all of the keepers really cared about each and every animal. Furthermore, my kids loved having the playground to themselves when all of the day guests had left too. Great shop and cafe on site. Wondeful set up; we will definitely visit again. Thanks everyone for a wonderful break☺️

Tents very close together on edge of a slightly tatty petting farm. Tents not properly cleaned. No real magic.

I can’t say we didn’t have a good time, because we did. However, there are several improvements that need to be made before 3 or more stars are worthy. Firstly, for some reason when we booked our payment didn’t go through. Despite receiving a booking confirmation they never bothered to contact us to let us know that the payment hadn’t cleared and instead just re-marketed the tent to be booked by someone else. Perhaps we should have checked to make sure, but I’d expect more from the company - even one email just to pre-warn us that they were going to cancel our reservation if we don’t pay by x-date would have been nice. Without rambling on, there was a big group of us and we managed to work out a way in which we could spread out across the tents that did get booked. Regarding the stay itself, the setting is great and the farm is lovely, as are the facilities. The staff unfortunately were very young and inexperienced. With age comes experience and where there hasn’t been the opportunity to gain experience, training is required. I think the company would do better to ensure their staff are better trained in both customer service and the great outdoors. Even trying to ignore all the above, the stay is advertised as ‘glamping’ and the accompanying price is certainly at the higher end of the options out there. For the cost of the stay (equivalent to a week on a Greek island in a 5-star hotel) I would expect things to be better. The tents are great and were clean and tidy. However, we were not provided with any kind of welcome info to let us know how things worked. The provided oil lamps (the only source of light at night) did not contain any oil and by the time it was dark - there were no staff onsite. We were only provided single duvets, despite having a double bed. The gas canister that heats the shower water ran out, once again at a time when there were no staff to replace it and whilst there are spares located nearby, they weigh 50kgs. When we left we carried all our luggage across the fields only to be told by one of the staff, ‘oh we could have put those on the golf buggy for you.’ If this was a £100 a night stay, I’d be giving it 4-5 stars as those issues are par for the course. However, it’s nearly double that and I don’t believe the cost reflects the actual value based on my experience.
