    I consulted mr lindfield regarding cataract surgery. Having had a thorough examination I was given a detailed explanation of the treatment that was required and the different lenses available. I had the operation and was given the necessary medication and advised what I should expect over the following few days. It was stressed very strongly that I must get in touch if I had any problems I am delighted with the outcome and having had a follow up appointment to confirm that everything was satisfactory, which it was, I have nothing but praise for Mr. Lindfield and his staff and would happily recommend them.     I consulted Dan Lindfield regarding treatment for cataracts, in the hope of also gaining improved general vision (after being completely dependent on glasses since I was 3 years old!). Dan listened carefully to what I hoped for and recommended toric EDOF lenses to treat cataracts, fairly extreme astigmatism, and very long sightedness. A big ask! We discussed getting both eyes done the same day and I’m really glad I took this simpler option. 2 weeks post surgery Dan checked me over, and is as delighted as I am to have 20/20 vision, as well as the ability to read most things- and all without glasses. I had to wait a while for my unusual lens prescription to be available, but Dan was great at keeping me fully informed. He has a very pleasant manner, and gives ample time at appointments to make sure everything goes well. Highly recommended.

    Tried to get an appointment for my chronic dry eyes only to be told that due to a long waiting list Dr Lindfield is not willing to take me on as a patient. Surely a patient suffering with eye problems that affect them 24 hours a day is still important? Apparently not. Mostly annoyed as they have written on their website they treat all eye conditions INCLUDING dry eyes!! Perhaps update your website so people don’t get their hopes up and waste their time waiting for a reply only to be told they can’t have an appointment as they are not deemed important.

    Mr. Dan Lindfield recently performed lense replacement surgery on both of my eyes. Over 12 months ago, I was assessed by a leading eye care company to have lense replacement surgery. After their initial tests, I was told I was suitable for the procedure and an appointment was made for the operation to take place. However, on the morning of the procedure the consultant decided I was not suitable and the operation was cancelled. This was a huge disappointment for myself but it was explained to me that the procedure was too risky and that it could make my eyesight worse, so I resigned myself to wearing spectacles or contact lenses, though with my lifestyle this would be very impractical. With my eyesight worsening and the impracticality of spectacles becoming more and more obvious, I decided to seek a second opinion for lense replacement surgery. I trawled through lots of companies online and the one that stood out and felt right was Mr. Lindfield of Farnham Eyecare. The one issue though was the distance and time involved getting to Farnham as we live about 260 miles away, so a 520 mile round trip, 10 hours driving. Despite this, I booked an initial consultation with Mr. Lindfield, if he was not happy to proceed then I knew for sure it was never going to be an option for me. Fortunately for me, Mr. Lindfield was happy to proceed with the lense replacement surgery. He explained the reasoning behind the refusal of the first consultant’s decision and did in fact say there was only a very slight increase in risk. The procedures were carried out by Mr. Lindfield at Spire Clare Park hospital, it was completely stress and pain free and the results were almost immediate. I went from needing glasses for everything to only needing them for small print in poor light, intermediate and distance vision is excellent. Dan has improved my life immeasurably, giving me my confidence back and allowing me to carry on doing things I enjoy. I really thank myself lucky that I found Mr. Lindfield. Also, big thank you to Emily, the practice manager, for coordinating the appointment dates to fit in with the accommodation we had to book for our stays. Nearly 50 hours of driving, covering over 2000 miles and 6 nights accommodation, it was all worth it for the final results. Thank you so much Dan.

    I was recommended to Mr Daniel Lindfield following my optician recognising that I had Acute Angle Closure Glaucoma. From the moment I arrived at the clinic, I felt I was in good hands - following an assessment Mr Lindfield clearly explained what Acute Angle Closure is and the risks attached to it, his proposed treatment and outcome. An appointment was arranged for the Iridotomy within 4 weeks of my visit. The procedure was carried out successfully and I felt I was fully informed throughout. The possible side affects we’re explained to me - I’m glad to say that I experienced none of them.I returned to Farnham Eye Care within a further 4 weeks and Mr Lindfield confirmed that the treatment had been successful and explained about following up reviews going forward. I feel so relieved to have had this procedure done so quickly and I highly recommend Farnham Eye Clinic and especially Dr Lindfield.
