Like Alex I had just under £400 in my account and I went to place an order to find out the original company had gone into liquidation with no notification, so all money accumulated was lost. Extremely upset that apparently customers who had balances on their accounts had no notification when the liquidators were appointed. Now there's a new company, same premises etc, but obviously a clean slate to start again so all the money us small customers had accumulated had been swallowed up to pay the old company loans etc. Is there any way to be able to claim anything for the balance I had. Old account number was 26324. I'd be wary about signing up to an advance payment scheme like this again.

My recent experiences with this company has been nothing but positive. The quality of their produce is second-to-none; their service and delivery first rate.

I have only recently started using this company because I am keen to support local farmers with good quality free range produce.I have not been disappointed and doubt if I will use a supermarket for meat again.

I manage a small Free Range Poultry Business that has supplied Farmer's Choice for a good many years. Farmer's Choice were supplied with our premium poultry, fresh each week. When the company experienced financial problems I went down to discuss a way through it with Jason Crotty. I also met and discussed the issues with the directors of the new company. However, I did not know that they were forming a management buyout team and at no point did they inform me of their interest or intentions. We are a small producer and have been left with a debt in excess of £30,000. I would suggest that the reason for not having stock of multiple items, is that many Farm Producers, like ourselves, will not supply them, even on a proforma basis. Whilst I have a degree of sympathy when a business fails; I am enraged when one is run recklessly, such as this one, and severely affects the existence of my business and farm. Hello Again, Farmer's Free Range Ltd; possibly Ollie ( "longstanding friend" of Jason Crotty, owner of Farmer's Choice) or maybe Bobby ( Nephew of Jason Crotty, owner of Farmer's Choice) or even Jason Crotty himself! Thank you for your prompt response to my review of our past relationship and dealings; prompter than any other exchange that we have previously had! Bobby ( Company Director of the new Company) was introduced to me as a " Junior, Trainee Employee, only present at our meetings to take notes. Ollie introduced himself to me as a "Good Friend" attempting to help his friend ( Jason). You also "stepped aside" as your work was done and the company was being refinanced! Neither of you were declared as managers nor declared your relationship to Jason Crotty; the owner of the company that you subsequently formed a " Management Buyout Team" of! Whilst your acquisition of the company and its subsequent Receivership, might be legal and legitimate please refrain from lecturing me on being unprofessional or inappropriate. Neither of you, nor in fact, all three of you, had the decency nor courtesy to contact us by phone, email or letter to explain the final outcome. However, you find it necessary to apportion blame to us for extending credit terms and time to pay that Jason claimed was necessary as his undivided Parental attention was needed by his family. Stuart and I have both suffered Paternal Bereavement in the last 12 months and are sympathetic, empathetic, ethical men. Our patience was, without doubt, abused and taken as sign of weakness. You claim that other producers have been supportive of your plight. However, I know for sure that you payed one wholesaler's account in full, prior to Receivership. ( A Meat Wholesaler is of more value to you than a Poultry Producer, as they can supply every meat type that you list!) This relationship has probably served you well in the "Afterlife" of Receivership, however, it's not legal nor ethical and I would add that provenance is never guaranteed. As you find your way in your "new" business, I wish you success in looking to forge relationships and credit lines with other fellow farmers and producers. Rest assured this Third Generation Farm, Producer has learnt a hard lesson and we are thankfully thriving since weeding out "Chancers" like yourselves. We respect our fellow farmers and as such are held with high regard within our community. I'm sorry that I had to resort to playing this out in Public; but this one positive of the Internet and Google. Good Luck with your new business and I'm sure, that for as long as you remain in this area of commerce, that our paths will cross again; as they already have. Best Wishes Richard

Used to use this company but my order wasn't delivered today and no response when I emailed. Farmers Choice has gone into liquidation but they say Farmers Free Range has taken over. There is no stock. I have £500 in my account and can't get any orders completed. Next will be reporting to Southampton police or going down there

As a customer of many year's standing we are sadly closing our account. Whilst understanding the difficulties during lockdown, supplies of meat and particularly fish remain very low. The website is not fit for purpose- if you add to an initial order the items simply do not arrive. The company has become difficult to contact by phone or email -no reply for days. This year there have been closures for website redesign, staff breaks, office and warehouse refurbishment- yet the service has got worse!

Avoid this company Avoid this company! I was sold this as a complete fresh grocery delivery service by a farmers choice agent and signed up to direct debit. Very quickly many of the items I need every week (bread, milk, eggs) were postcode restricted and not available to me. Many of the items arrived damaged or unusable, including part defrosted meat. Now they have raised the minimum delivery charge, and instead of being able to choose veg they do grocery boxes of things I don’t want to order. I have £1000 in my account that they refuse to return.
