We are in the process of having an extension built at home and had chosen a British Fire New Forest 870 to build in to a media wall. We drove up to see Fairways on a free afternoon to see we could get get a bit of a deal and order the fire. We entered the showroom and one person acknowledged us with a hello and then we were left to wander around and left to our own devices. We spend quite a time looking at the build in British fires before finally realising that no one was going to come and see if they could help us and made a move to the door. Still no one cared that we had left. Won't be buying a fire from them. Doesn't seem they have heard of customer service.

Products are lovely but the service is shocking when there is a problem. Very difficult to contact by phone as goes to answer machine and you don't get a call back. They don't call you back when they say they will and you have to constantly keep chasing them. Story of what is going to happen next keeps changing. Sorry but I could not recommend their service.

Had to change from gas to election fire. Excellent advice from Alan in showroom. Their Gas engineer disconnected old fire and their electrician had to drill over 18 inches through a stone fireplace. He was excellent. Any mess was thoroughly cleared up and apart from a few inches of new plaster to paint you wouldn’t know any work had been carried out. Highly recommend this company.

Fairways Fireplaces came recommended to us, we arrived to a lovely showroom, we soon choose a lovely fire, after waiting at least 20 / 30 minutes and being told just hold on I'll be with after serving this couple, then to release they are serving some else and then, AGAIN to be ignored for the second time!!! we walked out !!!!! I found the customer service absolutely RUDE, and Appalling!!! To leave customers waiting then to totally ignore then and serve others who have been waiting at all. Unbelievable!!!! We will Not be recommending you to anyone !!!!!!!!!!🤬

Let down, hollow promises, no response One Saturday morning in March 2022. My wife and I called in to the Bromsgrove showroom to place an order for a replacement basket for our fireplace. We didn’t quibble on price and fully cooperated as it was a luxury purchase and non-urgent. Easiest sale going even though not a large order. We dealt with Alan Perry, his card says he a Director. We were booked in for the following Friday for a survey with a subcontractor. We got a call on the Thursday night from Alan to explain his subbie was going to overrun and could he rearrange the survey. I willingly agreed to help out, and Alan said he call the following week….. nothing! So I emailed him on 18th March to request he contact us to rearrange the survey and did he still want the business…. Nothing! Email sent again…. Nothing! You decide for yourself if this is good service? I’m pleased he can afford to turn down easy sales but he has no idea how many people have been told about how bad this service is. Perhaps he only values large orders?

Can't comment on the gas fires as we bought an electric fire with marble surround. The best fireplace showroom between Bromsgrove and Coventry (including but not limited to Worcestershire Marble fireplaces) and the installation work - replacing an old fire & surround - was to the highest standard. Thoroughly recommended
