A hidden gem with great coastal views, lush vegetation and the best waterfalls I've seen in South East England. Visiting after recent heavy rain meant the steep paths were very muddy and quite a challenge in places, but worth the effort to see the falls in flow. The beach (clothing optional) is no longer officially open due to landslips - it's still accessible but proceed with care. The golden sandstone cliffs have quite an exotic look. The walk from Hastings Country Park visitor centre and back took a couple of hours, stopping to take in the sights several times on the way. There's a café and toilets at the visitor centre but no facilities at Fairlight Glen itself - helps it retain its wild feel.
