As per a previous comment, shame that zero stars isn’t an option! Having used this branch for a number of years due to convenient location, I put up with the rude man ‘Stephen’ who runs this branch with his down trodden wife. Cynical, misogynistic, no customer service skills and down right rude, I find it incredible that they have still have customers returning. Due to being close by, I popped in to post some mail today, thinking he might have mellowed over the years, but sadly not. He kept myself and the customer in front of me waiting whilst he had a ‘chat’ with the customer at the counter. When it was my turn I asked a couple of questions and true to form, rude, cynical, arrogant. Suffice to say, I will never return to this branch with my other local branch in Jacobs Well being a joy to visit, nothing too much trouble, quick and efficient, he could learn a thing or two! He really does need bringing down a peg or two and to go on a customer service course!

The post office / shop is always closed due to hospital appointments or illnesses, obviously these things cant be helped but if its clearly an ongoing problem health wise shouldn't back up staff be implemented ??

Terribly rude, inept old man. Having read other reviews I can see I’m not alone. Try adapting a better customer approach. Only used this post office as my usual one closes at 2pm on a Saturday, never again.

I've never left a bad review and normally wouldn't spend time writing one but unfortunately I have been here twice and now I will never return due to how the staff made me feel. On both occasions they have been patronising and rude, I left feeling quite upset. I wondered how I could have offended them as I was just minding my own business, the only problem was that I didn't have cash to pay for a plastic envelope and I was expecting to be able to pay for my postage and envelope all in one go on my card, like I would do at any other post office. I was happy to do the extra admin: paying for my postage on card, getting cash back, going to another till to pay for the plastic envelope then going back to the post office to pay to post my remaining package, but I was made me feel like a real nuisance. I thought it must just be me but I can see from another man's review he has experienced a similar sort of attitude and this was from 4 years ago. If you do read these reviews I wonder if you might consider adapting to ensure people can pay for everything all in one go as a lot of people don't carry cash anymore. Covid has also made it off-putting and a lot of places now don't accept cash. I would also ask you to please be more kind and courteous in the future as maybe you don't realise that you can have an impact someone's day.

Have been messed around before using one of their services, last time I was told by the man serving that the system had crashed and he couldn't continue, I could tell from his attitude he wasn't interested as I heard him say he was late for a doctors appointment! I had to use the post office by the Wooden Bridge where they sorted me out straight away and I will continue to use them from now on, very professional and fast too.

I found the owners to be extremely friendly professional people. They are always helpful and very knowledgeable. Their customers are always first. I’ve heard them with elderly customers who can get confused and young customers who have no idea all are treated with equal professionalism. Best post office for miles only one in Wales could come close

Turned up at 5:45pm, my office is close and I needed to return an item at the end of the day, seeing it was open until 6pm on Google I thought I'd pop in. The post office window had a massive closed sign up, the old guy had clearly just put this up as he was walking away from it when I walked In. I advised him of the opening times on Google and he instantly went into a "not my problem" attatude and started to openly blame the post office rather than himself. Knowing that other local post offices have kept their own times I dint think this place was any different, so I proceeded to tell him how to update Google with the times he prefures, I work in tech and am always happy to help those less tech savy than i. Unfortunately all I got was a shrug towards his wife and him repeating it was closed, bear in mind at this point I'm not asking him for anything, I'm just trying to help them. Honestly this place needs new owners. The current owners don't seem to care about their own business and by that extent their customers. Avoid.
