Should be 0 star. Fair Ways - Lotus Lodge This children contact centre in Poole is not recommended. Poor substandard service. It is just a normal house with a garden shed. The small shed at the back of the garden is offered as a contact centre. No facilities for children to play. Manager Michelle gave me a completely wrong account number & name to pay the fees. She is very rude & unprofessional. She doesn’t understand the child arrangements order. At the same time she wants bully parents & to push them to go with her own ideas. Absolutely disappointed with the poor service.

I am a student social worker for FairWays fostering team. The experience has been wonderful! I have really enjoyed watching how amazing the team is an how much they care for both the young people and foster carers they work with.

Staff refuse to listen, use health issues against parents, will make false allegations against you, then deny it. They take everything out of context and when you speak to them about it they deny everything. They do not know how to care for children at all, the offered to take my daughter while I showered and when she was returned to me her clothes were covered in poo! They handle babies roughly and think a 4 day old baby just needs to "cry it out". If you use formula they will write that against you say your putting your own needs before your babies. Then they'll fail you after they say you can't hold your child because of migraines and because she's having multiple carers, when it's them who's the reason for her having the multiple carers. Would not recommend at all.

I want to give a very big thank you to fairways contact team for all the help and support in a difficult time, At first I was very worried about being judged, and also thinking about it being uncomfortable, but right from the start these two for me as been amazing from start to finish, Luke & Lauren amazing individuals, with different styles of working using their experience of life to make a bad situation as happy and comfortable as possible, I am so grateful for everything, and I wish you two the best in the future, keep on helping others the same way you helped me, God bless, one love, and respect Yours thankful Ramon Montaque

Awful experience and we didn’t even reach the contact! Poor communication and record keeping from staff. Staff tend to use a “bully and belittle mentality”. Wouldn’t trust them to do a good job, look elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend at all!

I used the Service in Fareham. Had to use facilities (under judges rules to obtain professional stance/opinion on parenting) which were very hit and miss with booking out rooms, leaving you to use little office rooms or meeting rooms with no toys or facilities. The room that did have facilities has no windows, no air-con for the first few months and they encouraged me and my 4 year old to play the Xbox, as not allot else to play with unless your a baby or are happy to use a semi-functioning pool table at 50 p/h at 2 hours a week for the first few months. After around 7 months of using the service, allot of wasted money on both parents parts and an extra hearing taking place as they didn't do their bit and write reports for the judges, the only reason they were involved, they gave a very vague report but not with any of the information which was crucial for court. I was told after I complained that 'no news was good news'. Of course, not in a judges eyes! The staff were okay, quite supportive but again couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. If any parents need to use a similar service for contact/courts I would not recommend this rip off of a service, they do not keep the parents or the Children's best interests in mind, we'd have probably been better off with Roberts center in Portsmouth.
