Apologies for a long overdue review. Kate did an amazing job servicing and repairing my son's flute. It hadn't been serviced since we bought it and (aside from lockdowns) it has been played constantly. Kate explained our various options thoroughly and in layman's terms. She was friendly and helpful. When we collected the flute my son couldn't believe it was the same instrument and said it was as good as new. We will definitely use Kate again and wholeheartedly recommend her.

I had a full service of my clarinet from here and it came back in the best condition it’s been in years! I hadn’t realised how difficult it had been to play until I got it back and was surprised at how easy it was and how much cleaner tone it had; would recommend this shop to any woodwind player in need of a service!

Kate has just serviced my saxophone and it sounds wonderful. In fact it's never sounded so good since I got it. Before the service it had become virtually impossible to play, squeaking at high notes, warbling at low and the neck was loose and moved as I played it. Plus the mouthpiece was for some reason too tight a fit. Now not only can I actually play all notes but they sound good! The quality of each note is imcomparable. The neck and crook fit beautifully. Just a little half turn or so of the screw and it stayed in position throughout. The mouthpiece too is so much easier to put on. I can now focus more on the sound rather than the mechanics and that's really important to me- I mean it's not enough to play the saxophone, you have to play it beautifully don't you.

I took in my 10 year old Yani Baritone Sax — which had never had a full overhaul since I bought it. I knew the octave key & the bell keys were a bit leaky — but it wasn't until I got it back after full service — strip down, clean, re-pad where needed, lubricate & rebuild — that I realised how far it had deteriorated. It's probably better than when new, having been superbly set up. Recommended

5-stars, 10 out of 10! Friendly, efficient and effective. What more can I say. Kate did a full service of my flute which had not been looked at in 10 years. Its now like a new instrument, shiny and so easy to play - i'd forgotten what it should be like. Kate assessed the instrument then gave an estimate and recommendation, and completed the work within a week.
