Not great at all. Just used the Party wall Survey, not only did they push the existing condition service which wasn't applicable (the other side of the fence is a path...) the Notice is worded to flag jeopardy, and sell their services. Option 1 .. do you need underpinning, Option 2 do you consent to building works, Or Option three do you need more partition wall services, site review etc... Not only that if the neighbour doesn't respond within a set 14 days option 3 kicks in anyway. Overly cynical, I would advise people to ignore this service and talk to your neighbour, the forms are available online. This is really only for when you know there is likely to be a problem. I would not recommend them. I ended up doing the chasing and getting the signatures (or face a 10 day wait and 650£+) so I asked for the Notice to be cancelled if they didn't hear back by the end of the day (they did, as I sent it) and they charged me for two notices anyway .........
