  A recent check up at the optician confirmed that I had cataracts forming in both eyes. Discussing options with my optician I decided that multi function lenses might be my best option. My optician suggested Mr Goel as 'surgeon of choice'. I was able to make an appointment to see him a week later --my optician would send my eye test results/ pictures etc to him. The clinic is very near to where I live which is a bonus. Mr Goel explained all the pros and cons of the lenses I hoped to have and there was plenty of time to ask all those niggly questions which run through ones mind. There were various tests and scans done to make sure I was suitable. I have astigmatism in both eyes but this, I was told, can be corrected with the right implants. Dates for surgery were agreed, one week apart. Before and after surgery I was looked after by Jan, who was very reassuring, especially when having the first eye done and you wonder what's going to happen. Everything was done to make sure I was comfortable beforehand. Jill was there to hold my hand (if needed) at any point. There was no pain during the procedure and my operated eye felt quite comfortable. TBH I found the sticky tape holding the eye shield in place more of an irritant than the eye itself. There's a two week, 4x per day, regime of three different eye drops to aid recovery/healing--in my case the same for each eye. Then a further two weeks of one particular eye drop, 2x per day. Same for each eye and that is all. I've had the implants in both eyes---also a check up with Mr Goel a few days ago. All is well and I have brilliant vision. I will need readers for very close work which was something I was aware of at the start. As others have said the results are simply outstanding. I would highly recommend Mr Goel and his team if you need surgery and value your precious eyesight. I am delighted. One small downside --nothing to do with the surgery--was having to chase up Spire accounts to a) send me confirmation of the surgery etc and b) bill me for surgery for the first eye. There was a Bank Holiday and a Coronation in the mix ---even so !!

  I was extremely pleased to see Mr Goel at the centre. From the first appointment to the last, Mr Goel and his team were outstanding. I had an ulcer on my eye and the outcome if I didnt follow the treatment fully was well explained. I complied and now all is ok! His mannerisms are excellent and his information presentation was at the correct level. Fully recommended

  Having sight in only my left eye I was advised to go for the best treatment possible to treat my cataract, Mr Quah provided that treatment, I now have almost 20/20 vision, amazing!

  Late last year I was diagnosed with a progressive eye disease, namely Corneal Epithelial Basement Dystrophy, which was having a marked effect on all aspects of my life. I underwent Bilateral Alcohol Delamination in October 2022. The procedure was carried out by Mr Sid Goel, lead clinician with the Eye Correction Centre, UK East Division. From my first consultation/diagnosis with him, through to my discharge, I found Mr Goel to be a highly personable, knowledgeable, professional and patient clinician - extremely important qualities when one is undergoing such a stressful procedure & painful recovery. He displayed a very positive attitude throughout. The procedure was successful, and has corrected the symptoms caused by the Dystrophy. Once again I am able to undertake and enjoy all the activities that the Dystrophy had taken away from me. Thank you so much Mr Goel!

  I was referred to Mr Goel by my own optician as I no longer wanted to wear glasses. From my initial phone call with his secretary to the procedure being done, my whole experience was fantastic. His secretary made me feel relaxed as I was a bit apprehensive at first. My first appointment with Mr Goel and his team was amazing. My husband and I had all our questions answered and I was informed of what would happen and what to expect. We went away to ponder over what we wanted to do and I soon decided this was an option for me. My appointments were made promptly one week apart. The nurse (Jan) who looked after me on the day of my procedure was lovely. She made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. Mr Goel is amazing and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and his team to anyone considering any lens replacement. Once friends and family knew I was considering this surgery, Mr Goel's name came up so many times. He was highly recommended. My results are amazing and I'm so glad I was in a position to have this surgery. Thank you Mr Goel. X

  Cannot sing the praises of Dr Goel and his team enough! Dr Goel is extremely professional, caring and informative. He put me at ease and was very patient with me. His assistant was professional, personable and very thorough with the tests. A big shout out to Jan the nurse who attended to me on the days of surgery. She was extremely caring and calmed my nerves. I cannot recommend this procedure enough and you don't know what it means to me to be glasses free now. Procedure was painless and quick. Highly recommended 🙏
