Visited there today for the first and last time. The man was very abrupt, no please or thank you available during my eye screening event. Never gave me an eye test first as has always been the case in every screening I've had over the years. When questioned he said that i should have asked for this to be done on arrival, need i say anymore ?

Avoid this place. Severely overpriced, wanted to charge over £300 for my glasses that I got for £79 else where. It’s a old fashioned and the equipment is very dated. They also had the cheek to charge me £6 for a copy of my prescription as I mislaid the original. So to just write it on a piece of paper a £6 charge. Then to make things worse it wasn’t even correct. I hate the think of all the elderly that must go in there thinking they are getting a good service, not realising they are better out there.

My Husbands family used this optician for years. When my daughter started to complain she was struggling to see correctly (approx 4 years old) i booked her straight in for an eye test. Optician assured me her eyes were absolutely fine despite her complaints of double vision. 12 months later the eye doctor visited her school and referred us straight to the eye hospital. They confirmed she permanently needs a strong prescription. My daughter was struggling with school work (not being able to see clearly) for 12 months. She complained to me on a daily bases and i told her the optician knew best and her eyes were fine. I was deeply upset when we discovered she needed glasses and felt imensely guilty for not listening to her concerns and seeking a second opinion. I rang the optician to complain and he gave me a mouthful of abuse, told me i do not understand English! And put the phone down on me. Deeply disappointed and would not reccommend to anyone! My family have since moved and my Daughter is now exceeding at school with her new glasses!
