I had a very disappointing experience with this architectural company I hired for my project. Although they provided us with detailed drawings and plenty of information, they were only interested in asking about the money. Despite being aware from our pre-planning meeting that the project was unrealistic, they still did not admit it. They knew our budget but continued to give us false hope, even though they were well aware that our vision was unattainable from the outset. Instead of trying to work with us to find a feasible solution, they suggested unrealistic and costly ideas, like buying part of our neighbor's land to gain access. The whole process took almost two years, and in the end, the planning application was rejected anyway. Not only did we lose a lot of time, but we also wasted a significant amount of money. Overall, I regret choosing this company and wish we had gone with someone else. I would not recommend this architectural company to anyone who wants an honest assessment of their project's feasibility.

Extension Architecture helped us to create a granny annex and open plan living space that we’re delighted with. The project started during the first Covid lockdown but EA maintained the momentum with regular Zoom meetings to agree the design. When our initial planning application was rejected, EA helped us successfully appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. They handled the tender process for selecting a builder (who was excellent), project managed, designed the interiors and sourced many fixtures and appliances at a good price. The snagging process was detailed and methodical and, 3 months on from completion, EA are still helping with some final issues. They are responsive, communicate swiftly, are enthusiastic and give attention to detail. Youno and his team (Young, Steph, Jeba, Malvir and Varun) are great to work with. Varun gets a special mention. Although he joined the project halfway through, his calm, methodical and problem-solving approach was crucial to the project’s success.

I have a big question mark about the positive reviews from this firm, i have instructed them based on it but this was one of the biggest mistakes in my life, they made me waste weeks and weeks by planing structural work that was not needed and we only realised when we did the demolition, they are very quick at asking for payment but very slow at delivering any work whatsoever and the excuse they will give you is that they are a busy, their interior designer Jeba made a big mess in my design, i paid so much money on extras and repeated work because of her incompetence, i also paid 350 for her to design the worse kitchen i have seen and when i asked her to redesign she never delivered, they also put their heavy commission on the builders quotation without you knowing and i am glad i didn’t go with their builders, stay away, you have been warned!

We had a good experience working with Haitham at Extension Architecture. We were quite skeptical at the start due to experiences with and advice from other architects. But Haitham created a really nice design of our driveway, which after an appeal, was approved in full by the council. The fees we paid were reasonable for the work. I take away one star because of silly mistakes in documents, such as wrong postcode and spelling mistakes.

EA were amazing to work with, and Zak our lead architect was so pleasant and helped come up with ideas inline with our project goals. His communication was always on point. They managed to help overturn a failed application from another architect, and broke my application into 3 parts which 2 were successful, and 1 we won on appeal..none of this would have been possible without the resources within EA, and with Zak front and center driving us forwards. Amazing service. Highly recommended

The designer I worked with (Haitham) was very quick to come back to me with new designs when I'd asked to have parts amended and I was really happy with the final product.
